Abstract

For the reliable action of a door handle system (10) which is provided for mounting on a door (5) of a passenger car (1) and which comprises a holder (15) which is provided for fastening to the door (5), a lock cylinder (20) which is in operative connection with the holder (15) and a Bowden cable (55) which has a core (50) and which is in operative connection at one end with the lock cylinder (20) and at the other end with a door lock which is located in the door (5), it is provided that the core (50) of the Bowden cable (55) is in operative connection in the region thereof which is adjacent to the lock cylinder (20) with a rack (40) which is in operative connection with the lock cylinder (20).
