Abstract
This invention discloses a method for degrading the lignin content of tobacco stems, comprising the following steps: seed culture; preparation of inoculum or crude enzyme preparation: centrifuging the seed culture, removing the supernatant, adding sterile water to reconstitute, obtaining *Pseudomonas paraxanthii* inoculum, or inoculating the seed culture into tobacco raw material extract, culturing, adding glass beads, sonicating with a cell disruptor, centrifuging, and taking the supernatant, which is the tobacco environment-induced crude enzyme preparation; tobacco stem explosion; fermentation; and post-treatment of tobacco stems. This invention, combined with tobacco stem processing, involves first using steam flash explosion of the tobacco stems after moistening to slightly separate lignin from cellulose and hemicellulose without damaging the overall structure of the tobacco stems. Then, using *Pseudomonas paraxanthii* ZY-03 inoculum or tobacco environment-induced enzyme preparation, lignin is efficiently degraded. The abundant enzymes produced by the strain have a certain aroma-enhancing effect. Sterilization during the drying stage reduces the woody and impurities of the tobacco stems and increases the aroma of the tobacco stems.
