A ball valve structure

Abstract

This invention provides a ball valve structure, including a valve seat. The valve seat includes a first sealing surface and a second sealing surface disposed opposite to each other. The valve seat has a first sealing state and a second sealing state. In the first sealing state, the first sealing surface abuts against the valve cover, and the second sealing surface abuts against the ball to seal the gap between the valve cover and the ball. In the second sealing state, the second sealing surface abuts against the valve cover, and the first sealing surface abuts against the ball to seal the gap between the valve cover and the ball. The pre-designed compression of the first sealing surface is less than the pre-designed compression of the second sealing surface. In the first sealing state of the valve seat, when the valve body, valve cover, and ball all have certain machining tolerances, plus the tolerance of the valve seat itself, the cumulative tolerances will exceed the pre-designed compression of the valve seat. This can lead to situations where, after assembly, the valve torque is found to be high or low, requiring rework. In such cases, reversing the assembly of the valve seat can compensate for leakage caused by insufficient compression and prevent parts from being scrapped.
