A design method of steel hoop considering the effect of void

Abstract

The application discloses a steel hoop design method considering a void effect, which comprises the following steps: obtaining vertical loads resisted by a steel hoop during bridge jacking; calculating pressure of the steel hoop acting on a bridge support column according to the vertical loads; calculating a tight hoop force of the steel hoop acting on the steel hoop when the steel hoop is voided according to the pressure and a voided arc; calculating the number of bolts on the steel hoop according to the tight hoop force and an allowable tension force of a single bolt on the steel hoop; and calculating the height of the steel hoop according to the thickness of the steel hoop, a tensile allowable stress and a maximum hoop tensile force of the steel hoop after being voided.
