Patient care volunteer matching system and method

Abstract

The application provides a care volunteer matching system for patients, which is used for matching a first volunteer and a second volunteer to provide peer care for each other among a plurality of patients. The system comprises an interaction unit for obtaining a first set of characteristic parameters related to interpersonal style of the first volunteer, a second set of characteristic parameters related to a condition and / or a third set of characteristic parameters related to a social determinant of health; a processing unit for determining at least one matching index of the first volunteer according to the first, second and third sets of characteristic parameters; and a screening unit for screening the plurality of patients according to at least one screening principle associated with the matching index to recommend at least one second volunteer for peer care with the first volunteer. The application also provides a care volunteer matching method for patients, which is used for accurately and scientifically matching the first volunteer and the second volunteer, so as to improve the effectiveness and persistence of peer support between the matched volunteers.
