A method and system for waste heat recovery and utilization for thermal power plants

Abstract

This invention relates to the field of thermal power generation technology and discloses a method and system for waste heat recovery and utilization in thermal power plants. The method calculates the heat released by the hot water to be exchanged based on temperature and flow information. When the heat released by the hot water is greater than or equal to a preset heat value, the hot water is transported to a heat exchanger. The valve opening of the circulating water pump is set based on the inlet water temperature of the heat exchanger, and the circulating water pump is controlled according to the valve opening. When the heat exchange time meets the preset time, the steam generated by the heat exchanger is transported to a compressor for compression to obtain heat storage steam. The heat storage steam is then used for turbine shaft seals through steam inlet and outlet pipes. This invention solves the technical problem of the inability to recover and utilize waste heat, enabling full recovery and utilization of heat in hot water, reducing energy waste, improving boiler thermal efficiency, and simultaneously utilizing the heat storage steam for turbine shaft seals, reducing the maintenance cycle of unit components and extending their service life.
