Abstract

The application of poly(4-sodium styrene sulfonate) as an inhibitor in the removal of calcium-containing gangue in scheelite direct flotation belongs to the technical field of mineral processing. Specifically, poly(4-sodium styrene sulfonate) is used as an inhibitor, and the ratio of poly(4-sodium styrene sulfonate) to scheelite slurry is (50-80) mg:1 L, which is applied in the flotation separation process of scheelite and calcium-containing gangue. In the application process, through grinding, slurry preparation and direct flotation decalcification, scheelite concentrate with a WO3 recovery rate of 70-85% by mass percentage is obtained. The application of poly(4-sodium styrene sulfonate) as an inhibitor is developed, the flotation decalcification process is simplified, the effective removal of calcium-containing gangue in scheelite is realized by using conventional flotation collectors at normal temperature, the flotation process runs more smoothly, the operation is more simple, and the economy is stronger.
