Abstract
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to recipient- driven electrode set selection. Presented herein are techniques for determining / selecting a set of electrodes for use in an electrically stimulating hearing / auditory prosthesis. More specifically, an electrically stimulating auditory prosthesis includes a plurality of electrodes implanted in a recipient. One or more of these electrodes can be deactivated based at least in part on a subjective preference of the recipient. The remaining (i.e., non-deactivated) electrodes form a final electrode set that is subsequently used by the auditory prosthesis for subsequent auditory rehabilitation operations.
