3. The cosmetic applicator device (10) according to any one of claims 1-2, wherein the guide protrusion (50) of the base (20) includes a wedge-shaped cross section to substantially engage the tapered region (160) of the connecting portion (140) of the tubular guide (120).

4. The cosmetic applicator device (10) according to claim 1, wherein the guide protrusion (50) is annular.

5. The cosmetic applicator device (10) according to claim 1, wherein the guide protrusion (50) comprises a plurality of annular segments.

The cosmetic applicator device (10) according to claim 1, wherein the guide protrusion (50) includes guide protrusion inner diameters (55, 56), wherein the guide protrusion inner diameter (55) at the proximal end (51) of the protrusion is greater than the guide protrusion inner diameter (56) at the distal end (52) of the protrusion.

7. The cosmetic applicator device (10) according to claim 1, wherein the refillable stick cassette (100) further comprises a tubular housing (170) extending from a first end of the tubular housing to a second end of the tubular housing, wherein the tubular housing surrounds the tubular guide (120).

The cosmetic applicator device (10) according to claim 7, wherein when the refillable stick cassette (100) is coupled to the base (20), the guide protrusion (50) of the base (20) is arranged between the connecting portion (140) of the tubular guide (120) and a portion of the tubular housing (170).

9. The cosmetic applicator device (10) according to claim 7, wherein the second end of the tubular housing includes an edge (173) extending inwardly in a radial direction from the inner surface (171) of the tubular housing, wherein the edge (173) covers at least a portion of the open end (122) of the tubular guide.

The cosmetic applicator device (10) according to claim 9, wherein when the open end (122) of the tubular guide faces the base (20), the guide protrusion (50) is configured to contact the edge (173) of the tubular housing (170) during the insertion of the refillable stick cassette (100) into the base (20).

11. The cosmetic applicator device (10) according to claim 1, wherein the cosmetic applicator device (10) is configured such that when the tubular guide (120) is coupled to the internal member (30), rotation of the internal member (30) causes the stick holder (110) to move in the first longitudinal direction (11).
