[0006] The problem that the invention aims to solve
[0007] When the cable tray is larger than the wiring components, noise may be generated when the wiring components move inside the tray due to vehicle vibrations and collide with the tray walls. If this noise becomes loud, it may be heard by the vehicle occupants.
[0008] Therefore, the object of the present invention is to provide a technique for suppressing the generation of loud noise in a wiring module in which wiring components are held in a slot.
[0009] Technical solutions for solving the problem
[0010] The wiring module disclosed herein comprises: a base member having a groove; a wiring member housed in the groove; and a cover member covering the opening of the groove to prevent the wiring member from falling out of the groove. The cover member has: a cover body covering the opening of the groove; a first extension extending from the cover body toward one side of the groove; and a second extension extending from the cover body toward the other side of the groove. The first extension is fused to a first side edge of the base member located on one side of the groove, and the second extension is fused to a second side edge of the base member located on the other side of the groove. The wiring member is biased toward the first side edge side inside the groove, and a protrusion is provided in the cover body, the protrusion entering the interior of the groove on the second side edge side.

[0016] [Description of embodiments of this disclosure]
[0017] The embodiments of this disclosure will be described first.
[0018] The wiring module disclosed herein is as follows.
[0019] (1) A wiring module comprising: a base member having a groove; a wiring member housed in the groove; and a cover member covering an opening of the groove to prevent the wiring member from falling out of the groove, the cover member having: a cover body covering the opening of the groove; a first extension extending from the cover body toward one side of the groove; and a second extension extending from the cover body toward the other side of the groove, the first extension being fused to a first side edge of the base member located on one side of the groove, and the second extension being fused to a second side edge of the base member located on the other side of the groove, the wiring member being biased toward the first side edge side inside the groove, and a protrusion being provided in the cover body that enters the interior of the groove on the second side edge side. Because the wiring member is biased toward the first side edge side inside the groove, and the cover body has a protrusion entering the interior of the groove on the second side edge side, the interior space of the groove is narrowed. This reduces the space in which the wiring member can move within the groove, making it less likely for the wiring member to collide with the inner surface of the groove. Furthermore, even in the event of a collision, the wiring components have limited space to move, and consequently, the energy of the wiring components during the collision is also reduced. Therefore, by holding the wiring components within the slot in the wiring module, the generation of loud noise can be suppressed.
[0020] (2) In the wiring module of (1), the bottom surface of the groove may be inclined such that the depth of the groove increases as it moves from the second side edge to the first side edge. As a result, the wiring component is more likely to be biased towards the first side edge.
[0021] (3) In the wiring module of (1) or (2), the protrusion may also be fused to the bottom surface of the groove. This makes it easier to maintain the state in which the protrusion enters the interior of the groove.
[0022] (4) In any of the wiring modules in (1) to (3), the weld strength between the second extension and the second side edge may be higher than the weld strength between the first extension and the first side edge. For example, by applying more energy to the welded portion between the second extension and the second side edge than to the welded portion between the first extension and the first side edge, the weld strength between the second extension and the second side edge is greater than the weld strength between the first extension and the first side edge. In this case, because the energy applied to the welded portion between the second extension and the second side edge is greater, the cover member can be thermally deformed and a protrusion can be provided when the second extension and the second side edge are welded.
[0023] (5) In the wiring module of (4), a recess corresponding to the convex shape of the inner surface may be formed on the outer surface of the protrusion. Thus, as a cover component before welding, a component with a simple shape such as a flat plate can be used.
[0024] (6) In any of the wiring modules in (1) to (5), multiple wiring components may be housed in one slot. When multiple wiring components are housed in one slot, the gap between the slot and the wiring component tends to increase compared to when only one wiring component is housed in one slot. Even in this case, the generation of loud noise can be suppressed in the wiring module that holds the wiring component in the slot.
[0025] (7) In any of the wiring modules in (1) to (6), the base member may be arranged in the vehicle with the first side edge and the second side edge arranged in the vertical direction. Thus, even if the wiring module is arranged in a position in the vehicle where longitudinal vibration is likely to occur, the generation of large noise caused by longitudinal vibration can be suppressed.
[0026] [Details of the embodiments disclosed herein]
[0027] Specific examples of the wiring module of this disclosure will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. Furthermore, this disclosure is not limited to these examples, but is shown in the claims and is intended to include all modifications within the meaning and scope equivalent to the claims.
[0028] [Implementation Method 1]
[0029] The wiring module involved in Implementation Method 1 will be described below. Figure 1 This is a top view showing the wiring module 30 and the door panel 20 on which the wiring module 30 is assembled, according to Embodiment 1. Figure 2 It is along Figure 1 A sectional view along line II-II. Figure 3 This is a schematic diagram showing the state in which the cover member 60 is fixed to the base member 40.
[0030] This example describes the wiring module as a wiring module assembled in the door 10 of a vehicle. First, the general outline of the vehicle door 10 will be described. The door 10 is generally formed in a flat shape and is a part installed in the vehicle that can be opened and closed to separate the interior and exterior of the vehicle. Imagine that the door 10 is a driver's side door, a passenger side door, a rear seat door, etc. The door 10 includes a door panel 20, a design trim piece, and a wiring module 30.
[0031] The door panel 20 includes an outer panel 21 and an inner panel 22. The outer panel 21 is the portion of the door 10 facing outwards from the vehicle and, together with the vehicle body, constitutes the exterior appearance of the vehicle. The inner panel 22 is located on the passenger side of the outer panel 21. The inner panel 22 has a side panel portion 23 and a main panel portion 25. The side panel portion 23 is a portion that protrudes from the outer panel 21 toward the passenger interior. The main panel portion 25 is a portion connected to the side panel portion 23, spaced apart from the outer panel 21, and extending along the outer panel 21. A space is formed between the outer panel 21, the main panel portion 25, and the side panel portion 23. A door device provided on the door 10 or a window glass is housed in this space. An access hole 26 is provided in the main panel portion 25 of the inner panel 22. An operator can enter the space between the outer panel 21 and the inner panel 22 from the outside of the inner panel 22 through the access hole 26.
[0032] The decorative trim piece is the portion of the door 10 facing the interior of the vehicle and constitutes part of the vehicle's interior appearance. Examples of decorative trim pieces include interior handles and operating units for in-vehicle equipment. The portion of the wiring module 30 assembled in the door 10 is positioned between the decorative trim piece and the outer panel 21.
[0033] The wiring module 30 includes a base component 40, a wiring component 50, and a cover component 60.
[0034] The base member 40 covers the access hole 26. The base member 40 is a flat resin component that extends to the same extent as or greater than the access hole 26. The base member 40 is installed in a way that blocks the access hole 26. In this example, the base member 40 is also referred to as an access hole cover or an interior trim piece, etc. With the base member 40 installed in the access hole 26 of the inner panel 22, this installation state is maintained by means of threaded fixing, locking structure, adhesive, etc. For example, if the portion of the periphery of the base member 40 that overlaps with the inner panel 22 is bonded to the inner panel 22, the gap between them can be blocked as much as possible.
[0035] The base member 40 separates the interior side of the space between the outer panel 21 and the inner panel 22. A window glass exposed to rain is housed in this space, and a slit-like opening for the window glass to enter and exit is formed above this space. Therefore, this space is susceptible to water ingress. Furthermore, this space may connect to the outside environment, and thus is also susceptible to intrusion from external wind noise, etc. Therefore, the base member 40, together with the inner panel 22, can be provided as a component to more completely separate the interior space from the exterior space. More specifically, the base member 40 includes a base body 41, a frame portion 42, and a flange portion 43. For example, the base member 40 is a component molded from a resin such as polypropylene (PP), possessing rigidity that is difficult to bend.
[0036] The base body 41 is a plate-shaped extension slightly smaller than the access hole 26. The frame portion 42 protrudes from the outer edge of the base body 41 toward a main surface 41a (interior side) of the base body 41. The flange portion 43 extends outward from the outer edge of the frame portion 42. The frame portion 42 can be formed as an inclined surface with its height decreasing sequentially from the flange portion 43 toward the base body 41. When the base member 40 is installed in the designated position of the access hole 26 in the inner panel 22, the base body 41 is positioned inside the access hole 26 (near the outer panel 21 than the main panel 25), and the flange portion 43 is positioned outside the access hole 26 (near the interior side than the main panel 25), with the frame portion 42 connecting the two. Thus, the opening edge of the base body 41 and the periphery of the access hole 26 are blocked by the frame portion 42 and the flange portion 43.
[0037] A groove 44 is formed on the main surface of the base member 40 (the main surface 41a of the base body 41). Here, the groove 44 is formed on the main surface 41a of the base member 40 facing the interior of the vehicle. The groove 44 may also be formed on the main surface 41b of the base member 40 facing the exterior of the vehicle. The groove 44 may also be formed on both the main surfaces 41a and 41b.
[0038] A slot 44 houses multiple wiring components 50. The slot 44 is sized to accommodate multiple wiring components 50 in a concentrated manner. The slot 44 is flat, with its width dimension larger than its depth dimension. The depth dimension of the slot 44 can be larger than the diameter of the wiring component 50 (the diameter of the largest wiring component 50 in the case where multiple wiring components 50 include components of different thicknesses). The depth dimension of the slot 44 can be more than twice the diameter of the wiring component 50 (the diameter of the smallest wiring component 50 in the case where multiple wiring components 50 include components of different thicknesses) to allow the wiring components 50 to be stacked in two or more layers for storage. As the slot 44, multiple slots of the size that can separately accommodate multiple wiring components 50 can also be formed side by side. For example, multiple slots of the size that accommodate wiring components 50 one by one can also be formed side by side.
[0039] The opening of the groove 44 is covered by the cover member 60. The cover member 60 is fixed to both sides of the groove 44 in the base member 40. One side of the groove 44 in the base member 40 is designated as a first side edge 46, and the other side is designated as a second side edge 48. The bottom surface 45 of the groove 44 slopes such that the depth of the groove 44 increases as it approaches the first side edge 46 from the side of the second side edge 48. The cross-section of the groove 44 is trapezoidal. The cross-section of the groove 44 can also be a shape other than a trapezoid. For example, the cross-section of the groove can also be triangular, so that the bottom surface 45 of the groove is directly connected to the second side edge 48.
[0040] A through hole 49 is formed in the base member 40 for the wiring member 50 to pass through. The wiring member 50 passes through the base member 40 through the through hole 49. The through hole 49 can be formed in the base body 41 or the frame portion 42 in the base member 40. Here, the through hole 49 is formed in the frame portion 42. In particular, here, the through hole 49 is formed at the end of the groove 44 in the frame portion 42. Thus, the wiring member 50 housed in the groove 44 can pass through the base member 40 through the through hole 49.
[0041] Wiring component 50 connects door equipment to body equipment installed on the vehicle body to supply power to the door equipment or transmit signals between the door equipment and the body equipment. Wiring component 50 may also include wire 52. As wire 52, a sheathed wire formed by forming a sheath around a core wire composed of conductors can be used. The core wire can be a single-core wire or a stranded wire. There is no particular limitation on the type of wire 52, and it may also include single wires, composite wires, etc. A single wire is a wire with one conductive line. A composite wire is a wire with multiple conductive lines. As a composite wire, it may be a wire formed by combining multiple single wires, such as stranded wire or composite cable. Wiring component 50 may also include fiber optic cables, etc. The number of wiring components 50 is set according to the number of door equipment, etc. Usually, multiple wiring components 50 are provided.
[0042] The paths of the multiple wiring components 50 are appropriately set according to the specifications of the door 10. For example, in the case of a common hinged door where the rotation axis is along the height direction of the vehicle, the multiple wiring components 50 assembled to the hinged door are typically connected to the vehicle body near the door hinge and branch off from the door hinge side toward the side opposite to the door hinge to connect to various door devices.
[0043] More specifically, imagine that one end of multiple wiring components 50 is in a bundled state, passing through a portion of door 10 (in Figure 1In the example shown, the side panel 23 on the hinge side extends from the door 10, is guided into the vehicle body, and connects via a common connector C1 or the like to body equipment, or a relay connector located at the end of a wiring component extending from the body equipment. This body equipment is not particularly limited; for example, an electronic control unit (ECU) or a battery is envisioned. A cable swivel G is typically installed on the portion of the plurality of wiring components 50 extending between the door 10 and the vehicle body. Figure 1 In the example shown, the grommets G are so-called through-hole type grommets that are inserted and locked into a through hole formed in the side plate portion 23. This prevents water from seeping in through the through hole. The grommets G can also be so-called non-through-hole type grommets that are embedded in a recess formed at the edge where the side plate portion 23 intersects with the main plate portion 25. Multiple wiring components 50 extend from the grommets G midway from one end to the other, branching out and extending toward the door devices to which they are connected. Connectors C2 and C3 corresponding to the door devices to which they are connected are installed at the other ends of the multiple wiring components 50. Each connector C2 and C3 connects to, for example, connectors C4 and C5 on the door device side. Figure 1 and Figure 2 The diagram illustrates connectors C4 and C5 on both door device sides, and wires 52A and 52B connected to connectors C4 and C5 via connectors C2 and C3. Connector C4 is, for example, a connector for an actuator used to lock and unlock door 10. Connector C5 is, for example, a connector for a footlight.
[0044] exist Figure 1 and Figure 2 In the wiring module 30, the description of connectors and wiring components other than connectors C1-C3 and the wires 52A and 52B connected to them is omitted. Of course, the wiring module 30 may also include connectors other than connectors C1-C3, and may also include wiring components other than wires 52A and 52B.
[0045] Wires 52A and 52B, midway from the portion where the grommets G are located near connectors C2 and C3, pass through the insertion hole 49 through the base member 40 and move to the interior side of the base member 40. Alternatively, wires 52A and 52B, midway from the portion where the grommets G are located near connectors C2 and C3, may pass through a hole other than the inspection hole 26 in the inner panel 22 and move to the interior side of the inner panel 22.
[0046] The section of wire 52 extending between the grommets G and the base member 40 can also be a bundle portion bound by a binding member. Figure 1 In the example shown, multiple wires 52 are bundled together by winding adhesive tape T into a spiral shape. The bundling component can also be a cable tie, a flexible sheet, or a corrugated tube, etc. The bundling component can bundle multiple wires 52 in a flexible manner.
[0047] The section of wire 52 extending along the base member 40 is positioned closer to the interior side of the base member 40 than the base member 40. Furthermore, the path of the section of wire 52 extending along the base member 40 is restricted by the base member 40. "Path restricted" means that the path of wire 52 is maintained within a predetermined range.
[0048] The section of the wire 52 extending along the base member 40 is received in a groove 44. The groove 44 is formed along the path of the wire 52 relative to the base member 40. Here, three grooves 44A, 44B, and 44C are formed as grooves 44. Groove 44A is formed from the front of the base member 40 toward the rear along the vehicle's longitudinal direction. When viewed from the passenger compartment side, groove 44A is formed as a straight line extending along the vehicle's longitudinal direction. Grooves 44B and 44C branch from the end of groove 44A. Groove 44B is formed as a straight line extending along the vehicle's longitudinal direction. Groove 44C is formed as a straight line extending along the vehicle's height direction. Each groove 44 does not need to extend in a straight line on the main surface 41a of the cover body; it can also extend in a curved manner on the main surface 41a of the cover body.
[0049] The branches of wires 52A and 52B on the base member 40 split from a main wire into two branch wires. The main wire is the parallel section of wires 52A and 52B. The two branch wires are individual extensions of wires 52A and 52B. The main wire is housed in slot 44A, and the two branch wires are housed in slots 44B and 44C, respectively. Slots 44A and 44B can be used to hold wires 52A connected to door devices assembled at the rear of the door 10, such as door locking and unlocking actuators. Slots 44A and 44C can be used to hold wires 52B connected to door devices assembled at the lower part of the door 10, such as footlights. The size of each slot 44 in the cross-sectional view can also be formed to correspond to the size of the wiring member 50 it houses. The size of slot 44A, which houses the main wire, in the cross-sectional view can also be formed to be larger than the size of slots 44B and 44C, which house the branch wires, in the cross-sectional view.
[0050] Multiple wires 52 are stored freely within the slot 44. "Freely" means that the multiple wires 52 are not bound by any binding member. The multiple wires 52 are individually distributed within the slot 44. The sections of the multiple wires 52 that are positioned on the base member 40 are thus bound by the slot 44 and covered by the cover member 60. The multiple wires 52 can also be stored within the slot 44 while bound by binding members.
[0051] The cover member 60 covers the opening of the slot 44 to prevent the wiring member 50 from falling out of the slot 44. The cover member 60 is fixed to the base member 40. The cover member 60 is formed, for example, in the shape of a plate and is disposed on the upper part of the slot 44 such that it spans the slot 44. The cover member 60 has a cover body 62, a first extension 66, and a second extension 68. The cover body 62 is the portion of the cover member 60 that covers the slot 44. The first extension 66 is the portion of the cover member 60 that extends from the cover body 62 toward one side of the slot 44. The second extension 68 is the portion of the cover member 60 that extends from the cover body 62 toward the other side of the slot 44. The first extension 66 is fixed to the first side edge 46. The second extension 68 is fixed to the second side edge 48.
[0052] The cover member 60 is made of, for example, a rigid resin such as rigid PVC (polyvinyl chloride) or PP. The cover member 60 has rigidity to the point that it will not expand even when the cover body 62 is pressed against the outside of the slot 44 by the wiring member 50 housed within the slot 44. This prevents the housing space of the wiring member 50 from becoming larger. The housing space of the wiring member 50 is the space surrounded by the base member 40 and the cover member 60. The housing space of the wiring member 50 includes the internal space of the slot 44.
[0053] The wiring component 50 is biased towards the first side edge 46 inside the groove 44. Inside the groove 44, a space without the wiring component 50 is created on the second side edge 48 side. On the second side edge 48 side, a portion of the cover body 62 enters the groove 44, filling this space. The portion of the cover body 62 that enters the groove 44 on the second side edge 48 side is a protrusion 63. The protrusion 63 extends to the bottom surface 45 of the groove 44.
[0054] The base member 40 and the cover member 60 are fused together. The base member 40 and the cover member 60B are preferably made of the same type of resin. For example, the base member 40 and the cover member 60B can be formed primarily of a thermoplastic resin such as PP. The first extension 66 is fused to the first side edge 46. The second extension 68 is fused to the second side edge 48. The protrusion 63 is fused to the bottom surface 45 of the groove 44. Figure 2 In the diagram, the welded portion WP1 between the first extension 66 and the first side edge 46, the welded portion WP2 between the second extension 68 and the second side edge 48, and the welded portion WP3 between the protrusion 63 and the bottom surface 45 of the groove 44 are represented by imaginary lines.
[0055] The protrusion 63 is a heat-deformable portion. When the second extension 68 and the second side edge 48 are fused, the cover body 62 undergoes heat deformation to form the protrusion 63. At this time, a larger amount of energy is applied to the second side edge 48 side within the cover body 62, causing the second side edge 48 side to deform more significantly. Therefore, the weld strength between the second extension 68 and the second side edge 48 is higher than the weld strength between the first extension 66 and the first side edge 46.
[0056] Furthermore, in this example, the flat plate-shaped component is deformed to form a protrusion 63. Therefore, a recess 64 corresponding to the convex shape of the inner surface is formed on the outer surface of the protrusion 63.
[0057] In this example, it is assumed that the cover member 60 deforms when it is welded to the base member 40. Hereinafter, the cover member 60 before it becomes the installed state will sometimes be referred to as cover member 60B with the additional designation B when it is necessary to distinguish it from the cover member 60 in the installed state. Figure 3 The cover member 60B is shown in its pre-installation state. As the cover member 60B, a method such as... Figure 3 The plate-shaped member shown has two flat surfaces. The mounting surface of the first side edge 46 and the mounting surface of the second side edge 48 are flat.
[0058] After the wiring component 50 is housed in the slot 44, as Figure 3 As shown, the base component 40 and the cover component 60 are welded together using a welding device 80. Figure 3 The example shown illustrates how, after the wiring component 50 is housed in the slot 44, the first extension 66 and the second extension 68 are fused to the first side edge 46 and the second side edge 48. Alternatively, the first extension 66 can be fused to the first side edge 46 before the wiring component 50 is housed in the slot 44, and the second extension 68 can be fused to the second side edge 48 after the wiring component 50 is housed in the slot 44. In this case, the wiring component 50 can also be inserted into the slot 44 between the second extension 68 and the second side edge 48 with the first extension 66 fused to the first side edge 46 and the second extension 68 not fused to the second side edge 48.
[0059] The welding device 80 is not particularly limited; for example, it can be a heating welding device or an ultrasonic welding device. The welding device 80 can also be a device that performs welding while applying pressure to the base member 40 and the cover member 60. The energy applied to the welding portions WP1 and WP2 is determined by the heating temperature (welding head output), heating time (welding head working time), heating area, and pressure. A higher heating temperature (welding head output), a longer heating time (welding head working time), a larger heating area, and a greater pressure result in greater energy applied to the welding portions WP1 and WP2. For example, in the welding portion WP2, by setting at least one of these conditions higher than that of the welding portion WP1, the energy applied to the welding portion WP2 is greater than the energy applied to the welding portion WP1.
[0060] The flat cover member 60B undergoes plastic deformation under the energy of welding, becoming a cover member 60 with a protrusion 63 and a recess 64. At this time, the flat cover member 60B, under the energy of welding, can reach the bottom surface 45 of the groove 44, or further weld to the bottom surface 45 of the groove 44. Alternatively, the flat cover member 60B, under the energy of welding, can connect to the wiring member 50. At this time, the cover member 60B may or may not be welded to the wiring member 50. Furthermore, the second side edge 48 can also be deformed by being subjected to greater energy than the first side edge 46 during welding, tilting towards the bottom surface 45 of the groove 44.
[0061] exist Figure 1 In the example shown, cover members 60 are provided at one end and the other end of each groove 44 along the length direction. However, the position of the cover members 60 in the base member 40 is not particularly limited and can be set appropriately. For example, for short grooves, the cover member 60 may be provided at only one location. In addition, for long grooves, the cover member 60 may be provided not only at one end and the other end along the length direction of the groove, but also in the position between them.
[0062] The base member 40 is arranged in the vehicle with the first side edge 46 and the second side edge 48 arranged vertically. In this case, the wiring member 50 is biased towards the lower side of the first side edge 46 and the lower side edge 48 due to its own weight. As a result, the gap between the wiring member 50 and the upper side of the first side edge 46 and the upper side edge 48 becomes larger. In particular, since the width dimension of the groove 44 is larger than the depth dimension, the gap between the wiring member 50 and the upper side edge 46 and the upper side edge 48 becomes larger. In the vehicle, if the wiring module 30 is arranged in a part that is prone to longitudinal vibration, such as the door 10, the direction of the larger gap in the groove 44 is consistent with the vibration direction. Therefore, without the protrusion 63, the wiring member 50 collides with the inner surface of the groove 44 during vibration, which can easily produce a loud noise.
[0063] In contrast, in this disclosure, by providing the protrusion 63, the gap between the wiring member 50 and the inner surface of the groove 44 that are vacant in the vibration direction can be blocked by the protrusion 63, thereby making it difficult for the wiring member 50 and the inner surface of the groove 44 to collide during vibration, and even if they collide, it is difficult to produce a loud sound.
[0064] In this example, the first side edge 46 is located vertically lower than the second side edge 48 in the vehicle. Therefore, the wiring member 50 can be supported by the inner surface of the groove 44 and the surface connecting the bottom surface 45 to the first side edge 46. This makes it easier for the wiring member 50 to remain in a position biased towards the first side edge 46. Furthermore, since the protrusion 63 is located above the wiring member 50, compared to the case where the second side edge 48 is located vertically higher than the first side edge 46 in the vehicle, even if there is space for movement above the wiring member 50 at its vertically highest point, the range of movement is limited. Moreover, in this example, since the bottom surface 45 of the groove 44 is an inclined surface, the depth of the groove 44 decreases towards the vertically highest point. From this perspective, even if there is space for movement above the wiring member 50 at its vertically highest point, the range of movement is limited. Therefore, it is difficult for the wiring member 50 to collide with the inner surface of the groove 44 during vibration, and even if there is a collision, it is difficult to produce a loud noise.
[0065] <Effects, etc.>
[0066] The wiring component 50 is biased towards the first side edge 46 inside the slot 44, and a protrusion 63 is provided on the cover body 62 that enters the interior of the slot 44 from the second side edge 48. This narrows the interior space of the slot 44. Consequently, the space for the wiring component 50 to move within the slot 44 is reduced, making it difficult for the wiring component 50 to collide with the inner surface of the slot 40. Furthermore, even if a collision occurs, the limited space for the wiring component 50 to move results in less energy being generated during the collision. Therefore, by holding the wiring component 50 within the wiring module 30 of the slot 40, the generation of loud noise can be suppressed.
[0067] Furthermore, the bottom surface 45 of the groove 44 slopes in such a way that the depth of the groove 44 increases as it approaches the first side edge 46 from the second side edge 48 side. As a result, the wiring member 50 is prone to being biased towards the first side edge 46 side.
[0068] Furthermore, the protrusion 63 is fused to the bottom surface 45 of the groove 44. This makes it easy to maintain the state in which the protrusion 63 enters the interior of the groove 44.
[0069] Furthermore, the weld strength between the second extension 68 and the second side edge 48 is higher than the weld strength between the first extension 66 and the first side edge 46. For example, by applying more energy to the weld portion WP2 of the second extension 68 and the second side edge 48 than to the weld portion WP1 of the first extension 66 and the first side edge 46, the weld strength between the second extension 68 and the second side edge 48 is greater than the weld strength between the first extension 66 and the first side edge 46. At this time, because the energy applied to the weld portion WP2 of the second extension 68 and the second side edge 48 is greater, the cover member 60B can be thermally deformed to provide the protrusion 63 when the second extension 68 and the second side edge 48 are welded.
[0070] Furthermore, a recess 64 corresponding to the convex shape of the inner surface is formed on the outer surface of the protrusion 63. Thus, as a cover member 60B before welding, a member with a simple shape such as a flat plate can be used.
[0071] Furthermore, multiple wiring components 50 are housed in a single slot 44. In this case, for example, if the size of the receiving space for each wiring component 50 in the slot 44 is constant, the multiple wiring components 50 move and converge, thereby making the continuous gaps between the slot 44 and the wiring components 50 more likely to increase compared to the case where only one wiring component is housed in a single slot. Even in this case, the generation of loud noise can be suppressed by the protrusions 63 that enter the interior of the slot 44 when the wiring component 50 is held in the wiring module 30 of the slot 44.
[0072] Furthermore, the base member 40 is arranged in the vehicle with its first side edge 46 and second side edge 48 arranged in the vertical direction. As a result, even if the wiring module 30 is located in a position in the vehicle where longitudinal vibration is likely to occur, the generation of large noise caused by longitudinal vibration can be suppressed.
[0073] [Postscript]
[0074] This concludes the description of the wiring module 30 being assembled in door 10, but this is not a mandatory configuration. The wiring module 30 can also be assembled in a location other than door 10 within the vehicle. In this case, the base member 40 can be a member corresponding to the assembly location. For example, the wiring module can also be assembled in the dashboard. In this case, the base member can also be the dashboard itself.
[0075] Furthermore, the bottom surface 45 of the groove 44 has been described so far as the depth of the groove 44 increases from the second side edge 48 side towards the first side edge 46 side, but this is not a necessary structure. For example, the bottom surface of the groove can also be flat, so that the depth of the groove is the same from the second side edge 48 side towards the first side edge 46 side.
[0076] Furthermore, the description up to this point has assumed that the protrusion 63 is fused to the bottom surface 45 of the groove 44, but this is not a necessary configuration. The protrusion 63 may not be fused to the bottom surface 45 of the groove 44. In this case, the protrusion 63 may or may not reach the bottom surface 45 of the groove 44.
[0077] Furthermore, the description up to this point has assumed that the weld strength between the second extension 68 and the second side edge 48 is higher than the weld strength between the first extension 66 and the first side edge 46, but this is not a necessary configuration. The weld strength between the second extension 68 and the second side edge 48 may also be the same as or lower than the weld strength between the first extension 66 and the first side edge 46. Additionally, the protrusion 63 may not be provided during the welding of the second extension 68 and the second side edge 48. The protrusion 63 may also be pre-formed in the cover member 60B before fixing.
[0078] Furthermore, the description up to this point has assumed that the outer surface of the protrusion 63 has a recess 64 corresponding to the convex shape of the inner surface, but this is not a necessary structure. For example, the outer surface of the cover member may also include the outer surface of the protrusion 63, which may be flat. In this case, the cover member may also be locally formed with a thicker wall at the location of the protrusion 63 compared to the locations of the first extension 66 and the second extension 68.
[0079] Furthermore, the above description assumes that multiple wiring components 50 are housed in a single slot 44, but this is not a mandatory configuration. A single wiring component 50 can also be housed in a single slot. In this case, multiple slots corresponding to the number of wiring components 50 can be arranged parallel to each other.
[0080] Furthermore, the configuration of the base member 40 in the vehicle up to this point has been described with the first side edge 46 and the second side edge 48 arranged in a vertical direction, but this is not a necessary configuration. The base member 40 may also be configured in the vehicle with the first side edge 46 and the second side edge 48 arranged in a horizontal direction.
[0081] Furthermore, the structures described in the above embodiments and variations can be appropriately combined as long as they do not contradict each other.
