A space-deployable corrugated sealed cabin structure

Abstract

A deployable corrugated sealed chamber structure includes: an end frame, an inner corrugated disk, and an outer corrugated disk. The end frame is a rotating structure with two protrusions; the inner protrusion is electron-beam welded to the inner corrugated disk, and the outer protrusion is electron-beam welded to the outer corrugated disk. The space between the end frame, the inner corrugated disk, and the outer corrugated disk forms a sealed cavity. Initially, the inner and outer corrugated disks are discs. When compressed gas is introduced, the gas pressure causes the inner corrugated disk to expand, simultaneously causing the outer corrugated disk to expand, unfolding into a conical structure. This invention provides a high compression ratio, large volume, and high sealing double-layer sealing structure. This structure has a simple design, reliable inflation and deployment mechanism, and can be inflated and deployed in orbit.
