By establishing a metal sandwich structure model in ABAQUS finite element software and developing the UMAT subroutine for the cyclic cohesive force model, the fatigue crack initiation and propagation of laser-welded metal sandwich structures were simulated. This solved the problem of unpredictable fatigue damage in existing technologies and improved the safety and reliability of the structures.
