Abstract

This invention discloses a device and processing method for strengthening the inner surface of a non-cylindrical straight small hole with a uniform cross-section. The workpiece to be processed, having a non-cylindrical straight small hole with a uniform cross-section, forms a sealed chamber between two piston cylinders. The sealed chamber is filled with water, larger magnetic powder particles, and smaller magnetic powder particles. An electromagnetic coil is attached to the outer wall of the workpiece facing each planar segment of the inner surface of the straight small hole, and at least one electromagnetic coil is attached to the outer wall of the workpiece facing each arc segment. The reciprocating motion of the two piston rods causes cavitation within the sealed chamber. Energizing the electromagnetic coils at different positions attracts magnetic powder to different locations on the inner surface of the straight small hole, ensuring that the inner surface with attracted magnetic powder is not strengthened, while the inner surface without attracted magnetic powder is strengthened. The use of magnetic powder of different particle sizes and the gaps and flexible contact between the magnetic powder particles protects vulnerable areas and corner areas, achieving uniform and efficient strengthening of the inner surface of the hole.
