The application is suitable for the technical field of traffic sign detection, and provides a traffic sign detection method according to traffic sign classification information transmission, which comprises forming unit signal supply points; using communication technology to connect the unit signal supply points together, and establishing a dynamic coordinate point for each unit signal supply point to form a traffic sign signal supply network; after a vehicle enters a road network, determining an entry starting point through a positioning system, and establishing a rectangular coordinate system in the road network with the entry starting point of the vehicle as the origin; applying the rectangular coordinate system to the traffic sign signal supply network to determine the coordinate points established by each unit signal supply point around the entry starting point of the vehicle; after the vehicle travels, new coordinate points appear, and the specific unit signal supply points and the travel road of the vehicle are determined; and the traffic sign graphics obtained by the vehicle itself are compared and analyzed to accurately detect traffic sign information.
