Pre-lithiation ternary cathode material, preparation method and application thereof

Abstract

This invention discloses a pre-lithiated ternary cathode material, its preparation method, and its application, belonging to the field of lithium-ion battery technology. The pre-lithiated ternary cathode material of this invention includes a ternary cathode material and two coating layers on its surface; the inner coating layer is a lithium-ion conductor thin film layer, and the outer coating layer is a lithium-ion conductor thin film@lithium replenishment agent composite layer; the lithium-ion conductor thin film layer is made of organic lithium salt, photoinitiator, polymer, and carbon nanotubes; the lithium-ion conductor thin film@lithium replenishment agent composite layer is made of organic lithium salt, photoinitiator, polymer, carbon nanotubes, and lithium replenishment agent. This invention isolates the lithium replenishment agent from the cathode material and electrolyte through the double coating layers, avoiding the formation of high-resistivity substances on the surface of the cathode material by the lithium replenishment agent, which would deteriorate the material's cycle performance and rate performance; after lithium replenishment, the discharge capacity, rate performance, and cycle performance of the cathode material are significantly improved.
