Abstract

This invention provides a low-polymer-content Linze low-grade attapulgite composite material, its preparation method, and its application. The composite material is composed of Linze low-grade attapulgite and a network polymer, wherein the Linze low-grade attapulgite content accounts for more than 95 wt% of the composite material; the Linze low-grade attapulgite is a mixed-fiber attapulgite clay whole mineral, and its phase composition and content are: attapulgite 20.5%, montmorillonite 2.1%, quartz 41.0%, muscovite 14.0%, illite 9.1%, and dolomite 13.3%. This invention addresses many problems in existing composite materials, such as poor adsorption performance and high cost due to the high polymer content. It uses Linze low-grade attapulgite ore rich in associated minerals as raw material, which is crushed and directly mixed with polymer and cross-linked to prepare a low-cost Linze attapulgite composite material that combines high strength and high adsorption performance.
