A hard disk failure recovery method and computing device

Abstract

The embodiment of the present application provides a hard disk fault recovery method and a computing device, the method is applied to a computing device, the computing device includes: a management controller, a redundant disk array card, a backplane and at least one hard disk, the backplane includes a programmable logic device, the redundant disk array card establishes a connection with each hard disk through the backplane, the method includes: when the redundant disk array card detects a target hard disk fault, the redundant disk array card sends a fault recovery instruction for the target hard disk to the management controller; the fault recovery instruction indicates that a fault recovery operation needs to be performed on the target hard disk; the target hard disk is any hard disk of at least one hard disk; the management controller sends a control instruction to the programmable logic device in response to the fault recovery instruction; the programmable logic device performs a fault recovery operation on the target hard disk in response to the control instruction, which can reduce the fault recovery time and improve the efficiency of hard disk fault recovery.
