Abstract
Description
[0001] This invention relates to nursing belts, particularly nursing belts for breastfeeding mothers, and especially nursing belts for breastfeeding mothers of newborns.
[0002] Especially after birth, a mother's breasts are highly sensitive. Therefore, mothers tend not to wear regular bras.
[0003] Various attempts were made to meet the mother's need for proper support and protection of the breasts without putting pressure on or rubbing them.
[0004] GB 244,584A discloses a bra comprising a portion surrounding the breasts and a portion surrounding the body. The portion surrounding the body is joined to the portion surrounding the breasts by pleats and is adapted to prevent the bra from riding up on the body. The portion surrounding the breasts includes pockets that are closed by molded elements fastened by press-buttons and narrows and pleats at their ends, which are adapted to slightly overlap and are fastened to the back by elastic tabs and buttons. Elastic shoulder straps are provided. The portion surrounding the body is fastened by buttons and buttonholes and can be extended to form a vest and shorts.
[0005] GB 311,217A discloses a bra comprising overlapping portions supported by shoulder straps and adapted to accommodate the user's breasts. Each overlapping portion is connected to each shoulder strap by a strip. At the back, the bra is circumferentially closed by buttons.
[0006] US1,948,076 A discloses a breast support for breastfeeding, comprising a rectangular strip of material that is highly elastic in the longitudinal direction (circumferential direction) of the body, while being relatively inelastic in the transverse direction. The longitudinal elasticity is substantially uniform across the entire width of the strip. The strip is circumferentially closed by a zipper, which is configured to connect the ends of the strip along its entire width when the user is standing. When positioned, the strip provides positive support and lifts the breast without excessive pressure.
[0007] US2015 / 0133028 A1 discloses a nursing bra comprising a strapless bra formed of a stretchable material extending from a front portion to a back portion. The front portion has left and right cup areas separated by a defined cleavage portion. An outer fabric layer is secured to an inner fabric layer along an edge seam, wherein a single attachment point is provided in the center of the bra, allowing it to be used for both breastfeeding and hands-free pumping.
[0008] This invention aims to provide support for the breasts of breastfeeding mothers.
[0009] As a solution to the above problems, the present invention provides a nursing belt as defined in claim 1.
[0010] The nursing strap of the present invention has a lower band adapted to wrap around the breast of a breastfeeding mother below the breast and an upper band adapted to wrap around the breast of a breastfeeding mother above the breast. The lower band is made of lower band fabric. The upper band is made of upper band fabric. Both bands can be made of the same fabric. The bands provide support and sufficient circumferential elasticity to hold the nursing strap in place. The upper band is typically positioned above the user's actual chest and below the armpit. The upper band is typically positioned directly below the armpit in such a way that arm movement is not hindered by the upper band.
[0011] The lower band is usually placed at the level of the xiphoid process or above or below the navel.
[0012] The height of the upper and lower clamps corresponds to or extends longitudinally along the extension of the user's spine by about 15 to 50 mm, preferably about 25 to 35 mm, and most preferably about 30 mm.
[0013] The nursing band of the present invention has a middle portion disposed between an upper sleeve and a lower sleeve. The upper sleeve, the lower sleeve, and the middle portion are generally formed from a single band element, which is preferably made by knitting. By means of knitting, different functional areas can be formed and connected within the overall structure forming the nursing band. Therefore, seams or other joints that may irritate the user's skin and senses can be avoided.
[0014] Generally, the upper sleeve, lower sleeve, and middle section form a seamless, integral band without any openings in the circumferential or longitudinal direction.
[0015] According to the invention, the intermediate portion, the lower hoop portion, and the upper hoop portion each have anisotropic properties. Specifically, each or each portion of the nursing band of the invention has properties in the longitudinal direction that differ from the properties of the corresponding portion in the circumferential direction. Furthermore, the corresponding properties of each portion are different. While the three portions may have the same properties in one direction, they will have different properties in another direction. Preferably, the upper and lower hoops have the same properties in each target direction, while the intermediate portion will have properties different from those of the hoops. These properties may be the specific gravity of the fabric, the elasticity of the portion or the fabric forming the corresponding portion, the knitting structure of each portion, and / or yarn properties, particularly in terms of the thickness, roughness, and composition of the yarn used to prepare each portion. The portion in this respect may be each of the upper hoop, the lower hoop, and / or the intermediate portion. Each portion is preferably made of a single material that has the same properties in the circumferential direction over its entire length and in the longitudinal direction over its entire circumference.
[0016] Generally, the characteristics of the band are chosen to provide enhanced fixation of the support belt against the body. Circumferential strength is an important factor in this regard, while the middle section is designed to be comfortable against the skin and support the chest without applying significant pressure to the chest. The support belt is designed to extend laterally around the user's body only in the transverse plane. The support belt typically does not have any material above the highest transverse extension and / or below the lowest transverse extension around the user's body. Specifically, the support belt typically does not have any securing devices extending above the upper band, such as shoulder straps, to suspend the belt in the vertical direction.
[0017] Preferably, the middle portion is formed of a fabric that has a lower specific gravity and / or higher elasticity than the lower and / or upper hoop fabric. Specific gravity is the weight of the textured material per cubic meter. 2 Elasticity is the ability of a corresponding portion of the support band to expand circumferentially after an effective force is applied in the circumferential direction. In other words, the lower and upper loops will provide greater circumferential stress when stretched by the same amount as the middle portion. Therefore, and when the support band is installed to expand circumferentially around the user's body to a certain extent, the lower and upper loops will provide the desired support by elastically wrapping around the body and holding the support band in place. The middle portion will allow for corresponding elongation without exerting considerable pressure on the tissues, particularly the user's chest.
[0018] The elongation of the upper and lower bands keeps the entire nursing band in place, thereby preventing any relative movement between the material forming the band and the user's skin, at least and especially on the skin on the front of the body, particularly between the chest and nipples.
[0019] At least the middle section preferably has no joints, seams, or connectors such as buttons, clasps, sliders, or zippers. The inner surface in contact with the body, especially the front side, is preferably completely smooth.
[0020] Since the material forming the band is preferably a knitted fabric, each of the lower band, upper band, and middle section has a certain degree of elasticity due to the knitting properties. Therefore, even padding covering the nipple to absorb milk released from the nipple can be accommodated within the nursing band and below the middle section without causing discomfort to the breast.
[0021] To enhance the function of the lower or upper band, the material forming the band can be configured in two or more layers. These layers will be located on the outer side of the band. For the reasons mentioned above, the inner side is typically flat.
[0022] The nursing bra of this invention is not suitable for applying high pressure to the breasts of breastfeeding mothers. The elasticity and size of the nursing band are selected such that the breasts are inflated with a pressure not exceeding 7 mmHg, preferably not exceeding 5 mmHg. The pressure inflated by the upper or lower band above or below the breasts can be slightly higher. Preferably, the upper or lower band does not apply a pressure exceeding 9 mmHg to the underlying skin, preferably not exceeding 7 mmHg, and most preferably not exceeding 5 mmHg.
[0023] To ensure comfort for the user's chest, the intermediate portion preferably comprises two chest sections, each adapted to cover at least a portion of one breast of a breastfeeding mother. The intermediate portion also includes a support section that at least partially surrounds the two chest sections. This support section is made of support section fabric. The chest sections are made of chest section fabric. The chest section fabric has a lower specific gravity and / or higher elasticity than the support section fabric. This difference is particularly pronounced in the longitudinal direction. The chest sections and the support section together preferably constitute the intermediate portion. In other words, a corresponding embodiment of the invention consists of an upper and lower sleeve, two chest sections, and a support section.
[0024] The support portion typically provides back support for the middle section. In a non-use configuration, i.e., when the care strap is not wrapped around the user's body, the chest section may have wrinkled. The chest section may have a circular or rounded segment surface with a preferred central angle of 220° to 320°. Such a rounded segment would preferably intersect with the upper hoop. The support portion may be positioned between the chest sections.
[0025] The support portion preferably has a knitted slit extending in the longitudinal direction, which provides enhanced longitudinal elasticity. Therefore, the longitudinal elasticity of the support portion is higher than its circumferential elasticity. The chest portion typically has a simple appearance, while the band can have a double-torn appearance. The support portion, through its longitudinal expansion, can at least partially follow the increased volume accommodated within the chest portion, while substantially maintaining a circumferential fit around the chest.
[0026] The support portion can also exist between the lower band and the chest portion. In the non-use state, the support portion can be flush with the upper and / or lower band, and / or the middle portion can extend circumferentially beyond the upper and / or lower band. Although the support portion can be flat, the chest portion surrounded by the support portion or the upper band portion may not elastically expand to a large amount, but may have excessive volume that causes the chest portion to wrinkle in the non-use state.
[0027] To ensure proper placement of the padding on the nipples, the nursing bra of the present invention may have a padding indicator adapted to indicate the retention position of a portion on the inside of the nursing band to cover the nipples of the designated breast. Such a padding indicator is preferably provided by colored knitted yarn used to form the nursing band. Preferably, the padding indicator is integrally formed in the knit of the middle portion of the nursing band. The padding indicator may also be provided through partial variations in the knit structure or within the knit structure itself.
[0028] Preferably, the nursing band of the present invention may have pockets disposed in the middle portion. Typically, two pockets are provided to removably hold the pads on the inside of the nursing bra. The pockets may be provided by pleats that add additional volume to the middle portion, adapted to accommodate a corresponding pad for each breast and apply slight pressure to it.
[0029] In the nursing band of the present invention, the loops of the knitted textured material generally extend in the longitudinal direction of the body, while the rows of loops extend perpendicular to the body, i.e., in the circumferential direction. Due to the anisotropic properties of the knitted material, at least one of the upper and lower hoop fabrics and / or the chest portion fabric and / or the support portion fabric has greater elasticity in the longitudinal direction compared to the circumferential direction.
[0030] For the sleeve, the elasticity in the longitudinal direction is about 2.8 to 4.2 times higher than that in the circumferential direction, preferably about 3.2 to 3.8 times higher.
[0031] For the support portion, the elasticity in the longitudinal direction is about 1.1 to 1.5 times higher than that in the circumferential direction, preferably about 1.25 to 1.45 times higher.
[0032] For the chest portion, the elasticity in the longitudinal direction is about 1.1 to 1.6 times higher than that in the circumferential direction, preferably about 1.25 to 1.5 times higher.
[0033] Actual experiments have shown that under a longitudinal force of 1.5 N, the circumferential elasticity of the upper and lower sleeves is between 10% and 15%. The longitudinal elasticity, that is, the elasticity in the height direction of the upper and lower sleeves under the same force, is between 45% and 51%.
[0034] In the case of a uniform interlayer, the longitudinal elongation is preferably 1.8 to 2.4 times higher than the circumferential elongation. Under a longitudinal force of 1.5 N, the circumferential elasticity of such an interlayer is between 30% and 40%. The longitudinal elasticity, i.e., the elasticity in the height direction of the uniform interlayer under the same force, is between 70% and 90%.
[0035] In the case of the support portion fabric, the elongation in the circumferential direction at 1.5N is between 37% and 44%, while the longitudinal elasticity of the support portion at 1.5N is preferably between 50% and 57%. The elongation in the circumferential direction of the chest portion fabric at 1.5N is between 40% and 45%. This circumferential elasticity is less than the longitudinal elasticity of the chest portion fabric, which is between 67% and 74% under a longitudinal force of 1.5N.
[0036] To accommodate elasticity, preferably, every fourth stitch of the knitted fabric forming at least one of the upper and lower hoop fabrics and / or the chest and / or support fabrics is skipped. The yarn used for the knitted fabric preferably has 87% to 98% polyester, more preferably 95% to 98% polyester. The remainder is elastic fiber. Most preferably, the yarn used for knitting the middle and / or chest portions contains no elastic fibers. This yarn preferably contains 100% polyester.
[0037] When arranged in two layers to form a double-layer hoop, the specific gravity of the upper or lower hoop, or the upper or lower hoop fabric, can be 160 g / m². 2 Up to 210g / m 2 The specific gravity of the middle layer fabric can be 70 g / m². 2 Up to 140g / m 2 The fabric for the chest area preferably has a g / m² content of 70 g / m³. 2 Up to 100g / m 2 The specific gravity. The supporting fabric preferably has a specific gravity of 90 g / m². 2 Up to 130g / m 2 The proportion of.
[0038] The invention will become apparent from the following description of preferred embodiments in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

[0049] Figure 10 This is a schematic diagram of the second part of the report.
[0050] Figure 1 An embodiment of the nursing band of the present invention, mounted on a simulated female body, is shown. The nursing band consists of an upper sleeve 2, a lower sleeve 4, and an intermediate layer 6, each extending in the horizontal direction, i.e., the circumferential direction. Each of the upper sleeve 2, the lower sleeve 4, and the intermediate layer 6 is implemented as a single layer.
[0051] In the following description, circumferential refers to the direction around the body in a horizontal direction when the user is standing, while longitudinal direction or extension corresponds to the longitudinal extension of the spine.
[0052] The upper sleeve 2 has a longitudinal extension of approximately 30 mm. The lower sleeve 4 has the same longitudinal extension. The upper sleeve 2 and the lower sleeve 4 are made of the same fabric material. This fabric material is a knitted fabric. The joints between the upper sleeve 2 and the intermediate layer 6, and between the lower sleeve 4 and the intermediate layer 6, are achieved through knitting. The intermediate layer 6 is a knitted fabric. The loop density or loop formation of the rings forming the intermediate layer 6 differs from the knitted loops of the upper sleeve 2 and the lower sleeve 4.
[0053] The upper hoop 2 is made of upper hoop fabric, and the lower hoop 4 is made of lower hoop fabric. Both fabric materials are laid in two layers to form the upper hoop 2 and the lower hoop 4. The intermediate layer 6 is made of knitted fabric, which is connected to the double layers by knitting. Therefore, the loops of the two upper hoop 2 layers and the loops of the two lower hoop 4 layers are connected to the loops of the intermediate layer 6 fabric material, which is provided as a single layer, by knitting. Therefore, the belt is seamless.
[0054] The curved upper and lower hoop fabrics at the upper and lower ends of the care band each provide a curved and therefore smooth outer profile at the two longitudinal ends of the care band.
[0055] The upper sleeve 2 and lower sleeve 4 have higher circumferential elasticity than the intermediate layer 6. Under a given elongation caused by a 1.5N tensile force, the upper sleeve 2 and lower sleeve 4 will exhibit an elongation of approximately 13%. The corresponding values for the intermediate layer 6 under a 1.5N force are 53% longitudinal elongation and 40% circumferential elongation.
[0056] The elongation values discussed above pertain to a 50mm x 50mm fabric specimen stretched between two clamps on a Zwick machine. The initial distance between the clamps before stress was applied to the sample was 50mm.
[0057] The specific gravity of the upper sleeve 2 is 180g / m 2 The specific gravity of the middle layer 6 is 85 g / m³. 2 Up to 90g / m 2 The hoop has two layers of fabric. Therefore, the specific gravity of the fabric forming hoop 2 is 90 g / m³. 2 .
[0058] Figure 1 The nursing band is a single elastic band that does not show or have any openings between the upper band 2 and the lower band 4. Specifically, the surface in contact with the user's skin is smooth, including the transition between each of the bands 2 and 4 and the intermediate layer 6.
[0059] Due to the circumferential stress applied by the upper clamp 2 and the lower clamp 4, the nursing strap is held in place, thereby inhibiting movement relative to the user's skin, especially their chest and nipples.
[0060] In particular, the inner surface of the intermediate layer 6 exhibits a roughness suitable for contacting and retaining any padding contained within the band and covering the nipples of the chest through friction.
[0061] Surface properties are provided through the knitting structure and yarn diameter. The yarn has a nominal fineness (denier) of 44 and an elongation of 21% + / -4 according to DIN EN ISO 2062 / Statimat. In this embodiment, the fabric providing the intermediate layer 6 is a single-layer circular knit with a skipped stitch every fourth stitch. Skipping the fourth stitch leads to improved elasticity of the knit and ensures that the resulting fabric is more breathable. This improves user comfort during wear. The intermediate layer 6 has the same knitting structure and density throughout its length and circumference.
[0062] Specifically, it avoids seams or other joints that could irritate the user's skin and senses. The care band of the present invention is essentially an elastic band that wraps around the user's chest.
[0063] Figure 2An alternative embodiment with a wider band forming the upper band 2 and the lower band 4 is shown. When in use, the front middle portions of the upper band 2 and the lower band 4 extend horizontally. Thus, the intermediate layer 6 forms a small vertical band extending longitudinally over the user's sternum, approximately 40 mm to 80 mm. Corresponding to the shape of the chest, the upper band 2 has two concave engagements with the intermediate layer 6 in the sternal lateral portion and the anterior portion of the nursing band. Correspondingly, the lower band 4 has a concave portion. Therefore, the intermediate layer 6 is formed to substantially cover at least the middle portion of the user's chest (including the nipples). The intermediate layer 6 provides an anatomically shaped chest area.
[0064] and Figure 1 Compared to the previous implementation, the lower clamp 4 provides an additional length, which provides improved positioning of the nursing strap on the user's body. Therefore, Figure 2 The instance is even less likely to move relative to the user's body. The middle layer 6 will not slide on the nipple and rub against it.
[0065] Figure 2 The implementation scheme is also a single-layer solution, in which each of the sleeves 2 and 4 and the intermediate layer 6 is made of a single layer of fabric. For example, in Figure 1 In the first embodiment, the upper sleeve 2 is positioned directly below the user's axis, while the lower sleeve 4 is substantially flush with the navel 8.
[0066] Figure 3 The third implementation scheme is explained, in which the upper hoop 2 and the lower hoop 4 contain double-layer knitted textured material, each layer being connected to the middle layer only by knitting.
[0067] The intermediate layer 6 includes two chest portions 10 and a support portion 12, which is disposed between the chest portions 10 and the lower sleeve 4 and provides the entire back side of the intermediate layer 6.
[0068] Each chest portion 10 has a polished surface of a circular segment with a central angle α of approximately 300°. This circular segment is incorporated into and covered by the upper sleeve 2.
[0069] The support portion 12 has an intermediate support portion 14, which is flush with the user's sternum and positioned between the chest portions 10. The intermediate support portion 14 extends in the longitudinal direction. The intermediate support portion 14 shares a common joint with the upper sleeve 2. The support portion 12 and the chest portions 10 are connected solely by knitting.
[0070] The support portion 12 has a slit that provides elasticity and support in the circumferential direction. Under a force of 1.5 N, the support portion 12 elongates by approximately 41% in the circumferential direction. Under a force of 1.5 N, the support portion 12 elongates by approximately 54% in the longitudinal direction. All the corresponding elongation values discussed in this application pertain to a test specimen of a 50 mm × 50 mm fabric, which is elongated between two clamps on a Zwick machine. The initial distance between the clamps before stress is applied to the sample is 50 mm.
[0071] The fabric forming the bust portion 10 has a longitudinal elongation of approximately 70% and a circumferential elongation of approximately 42% at 1.5N. The specific gravity of the bust portion 10 is approximately 87 g / m². 2 The specific gravity of the supporting part is approximately 115 g / m³. 2 The specific gravity of the double-layered upper clamp 2 and lower clamp 4 is 190 g / m³. 2 This specific gravity is related to fabrics laid in a single layer.
[0072] The word “about” in the description means that each value can vary within + / - 5% of the given corresponding value.
[0073] exist Figure 3 In a variation of the implementation scheme, the support portion 12 may be located only on the front side, while the fabric forming the chest portion 10 will also form the entire rear portion of the intermediate layer 6. Such an implementation will provide the user with a more comfortable experience than... Figure 3 The implementation plan discussed in the article feels lighter.
[0074] exist Figure 3 In this implementation, the chest portion 10 provides additional volume. Figure 3 In its unused state, the chest portion 10 will wrinkle as can be seen. Therefore, when in use, the chest portion 10 will have an improved ability to conform to the shape of the chest.
[0075] Figure 9 and Figure 10 It basically clarifies the different knitted fabrics used to make the fabric. Figure 9 This clarifies the regular knitwear indicated by X in the following report. Figure 10 The missing / floating elements identified by 'O' in the following report document are shown.
[0076] Typically, the combination of the knitted X and the missing loop O differs in each of the chest section, support section, and hoop section. The corresponding designations for each section are described below. Regarding the material, PES indicates polyester, while EL and / or EA indicate elastic fibers as a component or as separate yarn material within the fabric; a comparison is made specifically of the hoop section.

[0086] Figure 4 yes Figure 3 A variation of the implementation scheme. The essential difference lies in the form of the chest portion 10, which is set as a complete circle exactly below the upper hoop 2 and is surrounded by the support portion 12.
[0087] Figures 1 to 4 Each of the embodiments discussed herein has a smooth inner surface, with no seams or three-dimensional barriers on the inner side of the band that could irritate the skin.
[0088] General concepts and Figure 5 The implementation schemes in the text are different, the aforementioned Figure 5 The inner side of such an implementation is shown. In this implementation, the intermediate layer 6 has two layers. Figure 5 The visible inner side has two receiving portions 16 formed by cutting the inner layer 6a of the intermediate layer 6. These receiving portions 16 result in pockets 18 being defined horizontally, i.e., circumferentially, by the joints of the upper sleeve 2 and the lower sleeve 4, respectively. The lateral ends of pockets 18 are formed by seams 20. The intermediate seam 20.1 is a common boundary for each pocket 18. The lateral ends of each pocket in pockets 18 are formed by corresponding lateral seams 20.2.
[0089] Each pocket 18 contains pads adapted to absorb milk released from the mother's breast. These pads can be releasably retained within the pocket 18.
[0090] Figure 6Another alternative implementation of the two-layer solution is shown. In this implementation, the upper sleeve 2 and the lower sleeve 4 are provided with two layers, and the inner layers of the upper sleeve 2 and the lower sleeve 4 each provide grooves for receiving the upper and lower edges of the padding. The middle layer 6 has a single-layer construction and clamps the padding in the chest.
[0091] As in the previous embodiment, the band would have only a single layer at the location corresponding to the nipple. Therefore, the highly sensitive nipple would not be irritated by the joints between the different fabric material layers forming the care band.
[0092] exist Figure 7 In the variant, Figure 7 The outer side of the band is shown, where increased volume for accommodating the breast and padding is provided by pleats 22 formed within the fabric defining the intermediate layer 6. In this embodiment, the intermediate layer 6 is a single layer at the nipple level.
[0093] exist Figure 8 In this implementation, for each breast, the strips 24 are arranged in pairs extending longitudinally and having a lateral distance relative to the position of the nipple. These strips 24 are disposed inside the intermediate layer 6. The two strips will be able to secure one of the pads for holding the pad in place.
