The camera is set on the electronic device, and the focusing method of the camera includes: based on the camera startup, obtaining phase difference data. According to the phase difference data, obtaining the corresponding initial defocus data. According to the initial defocus data and whether the electronic device is in a stable state, determining whether the shooting scene of the camera is the target scene. Based on the shooting scene being the target scene, the initial defocus data is subjected to spatial domain filtering processing to obtain spatial domain defocus data. The spatial domain defocus data is subjected to time domain filtering processing to obtain time domain defocus data. According to the time domain defocus data, the corresponding target distance is obtained. Control the lens of the camera to move the target distance to complete the focusing.
