The titanium dioxide / polymer hollow microspheres have a particle size of 0.5-100 μm, a wall thickness of 0.5-15 μm, and a hollow structure volume that is 10-80% of the volume of the hollow microspheres. The present invention synthesizes the microspheres using a combination of solvent evaporation and photopolymerization. The microspheres are then used as fillers in thermal insulation coatings, achieving low thermal conductivity, excellent UV shielding properties, and weather resistance.
