Abstract

A multi-color jacquard double-knit fabric has a technical front side and a technical back side. The multi-color jacquard double-knit fabric is formed from at least four yarns, the at least four yarns being divided into a plurality of color groups, each color group comprising at least two of the four yarns, the multi-color jacquard double-knit fabric having a plurality of jacquard knit sections on the technical front side and formed from one of the color groups, the color of each jacquard knit section being represented by at least one of: 1) at least one normal front loop formed from at least two of the four yarns comprised in one of the color groups; and 2) at least one reverse front loop formed from at least two of the four yarns comprised in one of the color groups. The technical back side of the multi-color jacquard double-knit fabric is formed from the at least four yarns.

Technical Field

[0002] When existing double-sided knitted fabrics are intended to be multi-colored, post-weaving dyeing is commonly used, as in CN109965413A. If yarn-dyed jacquard is used, the fabric weight and thickness of the double-sided knitted fabric clearly do not meet the requirements of commercial fabrics. More specifically, current circular knitting machines use a one-color yarn-feeding method when performing yarn-dyed jacquard. To achieve a four-color jacquard, a single knitting cycle would require passing through four yarn feeders, leading to issues with the fabric weight and thickness of the double-sided knitted fabric. Summary of the Invention

[0003] The main objective of this invention is to solve the problems of fabric weight and thickness that exist when existing double-sided knitted fabrics are directly knitted in multiple colors using a circular knitting machine.

[0004] To achieve the above objectives, the present invention provides a multi-color jacquard double-sided fabric having a technical front and a technical back. The multi-color jacquard double-sided fabric is knitted from at least four yarns, which are divided into multiple color-developing groups. Each color-developing group includes two of the at least four yarns. The multi-color jacquard double-sided fabric has multiple jacquard sections located on the technical front and formed by one of the color-developing groups. The color development of each jacquard section is presented by at least one of the following: 1) at least one normal front-side ring formed by two of the four yarns included in one of the color-developing groups; 2) at least one reverse front-side ring formed by two of the four yarns included in one of the color-developing groups. The technical back of the multi-color jacquard double-sided fabric is knitted from at least four yarns.

The multi-color jacquard double-sided fabric 20 has a technical front side 21 and a technical back side 22. The multi-color jacquard double-sided fabric 20 is formed by knitting at least four yarns 23, 24, 25, and 26. The at least four yarns 23, 24, 25, and 26 are divided into multiple color-developing groups 30 and 31. Each color-developing group 30 and 31 includes two of the at least four yarns 23, 24, 25, and 26. Two of the at least four yarns 23, 24, 25, and 26 included in each color-developing group 30 and 31 are supplied by the same yarn feeder on the circular knitting machine. A multi-color jacquard double-sided fabric, having a technical front and a technical back, characterized in that, The multi-color jacquard double-sided fabric is knitted from at least four yarns, which are divided into multiple color groups.
