The present invention provides a supporting device for a mechanical plate rolling machine, which belongs to the technical field of steel plate rolling equipment, and comprises: a supporting frame, a first lifting component, a second lifting component, two driving components and a first screw slide, wherein the two driving components are respectively connected to the lifting ends of the second lifting component, so that the swing center of the first screw slide can be lifted and lowered; the second lifting component is used to lift or lower the driving component to the center of the rolled steel plate, so that the swing center of the first screw slide can be coaxial with the center of the rolled steel plate, and then the first screw slide is used to adjust the position of the supporting rollers, so that the two supporting rollers can clamp the rolled steel plate from both sides, and as the first screw slide swings, the two supporting rollers can pull the steel plate to move along a preset rolling path of the steel plate, and pull the steel plate close to the supporting rollers, so as to prevent the steel plate from sagging or even bending due to its own weight during the rolling process, so that the plate rolling machine can roll steel pipes with thinner thickness and larger diameter.
