Abstract
This invention discloses a method for preparing ferroalloy furnace charge blocks using grain slurry and washed bituminous coal. The method involves uniformly mixing grain slurry (made by boiling dry grain powder) and washed bituminous coal powder with an appropriate amount of fine ore powder used in ferroalloy smelting. The mixture is then pressed into blocks, dried, and formed into charge blocks. The grain slurry binds the fine ore powder into blocks at room temperature. Furthermore, the coking process of the washed bituminous coal powder at high temperatures, releasing a large amount of coal tar and asphalt-like substances with binding properties, effectively compensates for the gradually decreasing binding capacity of the grain slurry due to localized coking caused by the increased furnace temperature. This also results in a denser and more solid charge block. This invention can significantly save expensive electricity, greatly reduce raw material costs, save more capital, and lower production costs.
