Abstract
Description
[0001] CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS
[0002] This application is a continuation-in-part of U.S. non-provisional patent application No. 17,748,514 filed on May 19, 2022, which is a continuation-in-part of U.S. design patent application No. 29 / 836,621 filed on April 28, 2022. The entire disclosure of each application listed in this paragraph is hereby incorporated by specific reference. Technical Field
[0003] The present invention relates to carts, and more particularly to apparatus, devices, systems and methods for providing a usable cart having a tiltable electric fan, a power strip for powering electrical equipment, a storage compartment / tray for supplies, and a removable electric LED (light emitting diode) light source. Background Art
[0004] Wheeled carts have been popular for many years to allow users to move loads, such as boxes. Conventional wheelbarrows include a set of two wheels on either side of a supporting ledge and a longitudinal handle assembly extending upward therefrom. See, for example, the following U.S. patents: DES. 340,335 to Kean et al. and US7,530,579 to Butler.
[0005] Fan stands with wheels have been proposed over the years. See, for example, U.S. Patents: Koch 2,521,920, Wentling 2,830,779, Kraus, and Barrett 5,265,895. These devices make the fan portable simply by having wheels on the stand.
[0006] However, none of these devices allow a user to use the fan with a workable cart.
[0007] Therefore, there is a need for a solution that addresses the above-mentioned problems of the prior art. Summary of the invention
[0008] The primary object of the present invention is to provide a usable cart apparatus, device, system and method having an electric fan, a power strip for powering electrical equipment, a storage compartment for supplies, and a removable / adjustable electric LED (light emitting diode) light source.
[0009] An embodiment of the cart includes a frame having parallel rod members with upper and lower ends and a mid-section between the upper and lower ends, a handrail extending rearwardly from the upper end of the frame, a pair of wheels attached to the lower end of the frame, a lift plate attached to the lower end of the frame for supporting a load thereon, and an upright fan attached to the frame between the mid-section of the front frame for directing air toward the front of the cart.
[0010] The cart also includes a movable light attached to the upper end of the frame that projects light in a forward direction from the cart.
[0011] The movable lamp has a rotating mechanism that allows the lamp to rotate upward to direct light upward, and allows the lamp to rotate downward to direct light downward.
[0012] The movable light may include a pivot mechanism that allows the light to pivot to the left and right directions, and to pivot upward and downward.
[0013] The cart may further include a power strip having a plurality of plug-in sockets, the power strip being attached to the frame below the fan, the power strip having electrical cords allowing the power strip to be plugged into an electrical socket, the power strip being used to provide power to the fan.
[0014] The power strip may further include at least one USB port. The power source may include a rechargeable battery power source.
[0015] The cart may include a tray having a storage compartment and attached adjacent an upper end to the frame.
[0016] The upright fan may include pivot members on each side of the fan to allow the fan to be tilted upward and downward.
[0017] The cart may include a left guard member on a left side of the lift plate; and a right guard member on a right side of the lift plate.
[0018] The hand truck may include a pivoting guardrail attached to the lower end of the frame, the pivoting guardrail having a raised vertical position and a lowered position above the lift plate.
[0019] Further objects and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following detailed description of presently preferred embodiments, which are schematically illustrated in the accompanying drawings. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
