Environment-friendly process for manufacturing children's toys by using sodium alginate

Abstract

The invention relates to the technical field of children's toy materials, and discloses an environment-friendly process for manufacturing children's toys by using sodium alginate, which comprises the following steps: S1, material preparation: preparing a sodium alginate solution, and adding a natural pigment, a plasticizer and a composite material; s2, modifying and strengthening: strengthening the structure through a bi-crosslinking reaction containing calcium ions and multivalent metal ions, and adding hydrophobic microcapsules to improve the water resistance; s3, forming process: manufacturing the toy through casting forming or 3D printing forming; s4, surface treatment and coating: coating a vegetable wax environment-friendly coating, and applying an antibacterial coating; s5, quality control and testing: testing the water resistance, the water absorption rate and the mechanical property of the toy; by adopting natural biocompatible materials such as the sodium alginate, the natural pigment, the vegetable wax and the polylactic acid, the prepared toy for children can be gradually degraded after the service life is ended, so that the environmental pollution is reduced, and the environment-friendly concept and the sustainable development requirement are met.
