The present invention discloses a top coal caving anchor-breaking end bracket and anchor-breaking method, comprising a plurality of bracket units and a plurality of anchor-breaking devices, wherein the anchor-breaking device is assembled below the top beam of the bracket unit at the front end, and the anchor-breaking device comprises a swing arm, a first drive, a front bracket, a second drive, a tool holder, a third drive and an execution device, wherein the swing arm is rotationally assembled with the top beam and can swing horizontally, the first drive is connected between the swing arm and the top beam, the front bracket is rotationally assembled with the top beam and can swing in pitch, the second drive is assembled below the top beam, the second drive is connected between the front bracket and the swing arm, the tool holder is slidingly assembled with the front bracket and can slide along the extension direction of the front bracket, the third drive is assembled below the front bracket, the third drive is connected between the tool holder and the front bracket, and the execution device is assembled on the tool holder. The anchor-breaking end bracket of the present invention can meet the end support operation while realizing mechanized and automated shearing of anchors.
