Abstract

The invention relates to a drill bit (10) for manually guided drilling of a blind hole having a blind hole diameter and a blind hole depth in a metal workpiece, comprising a shank (20) which defines a drilling direction (30) and has an axis of rotation oriented in the drilling direction, the shank has a cutting edge (50) at its end directed in the drilling direction and a stop shoulder (55) at a distance from the cutting edge, which distance is measured counter to the drilling direction and defines a blind hole depth, the cutting edge defining a blind hole diameter by rotation about an axis of rotation, the shank having an enveloping circle diameter, and the diameter of the enveloping circle being larger than the diameter of the enveloping circle. The shaft has a first shaft section (40) which adjoins the stop shoulder counter to the drilling direction and which extends to the stop shoulder and of which the enveloping circle diameter increases starting from the stop shoulder counter to the drilling direction, said shaft having a first shaft section (40) which adjoins the stop shoulder and which, starting from the stop shoulder, adjoins the blind hole diameter.
