Abstract

The invention discloses an external differential type hydraulic oil cylinder stroke detection device and method, and the device comprises a floating support which is fixed on a transition end cover of a hydraulic oil cylinder, and a turning transmission assembly, a horizontal gear assembly and an encoder assembly are all disposed on the floating support. Wherein the upper end of the turning transmission assembly is connected with the universal connector, the universal connector is connected with a direct-acting piston rod of the hydraulic oil cylinder, one side of the turning transmission assembly is in meshing transmission with the horizontal gear assembly, and the horizontal gear assembly is connected with the encoder assembly. According to the external differential type hydraulic oil cylinder stroke detection device and method, accurate stroke detection of a hydraulic oil cylinder in a narrow installation space under multiple working conditions and rapid and convenient maintenance and replacement of the stroke detection device can be achieved.
