A method and system for correcting IQ signal imbalance in a zero-IF receiver

Abstract

This invention discloses a method and system for correcting IQ signal imbalance in a zero-IF receiver. The method is as follows: 1. Input a quadrature modulated radio frequency signal to the zero-IF receiver; 2. Mix the radio frequency signal; 3. Filter and amplify the signal; 4. Perform analog-to-digital conversion on the signal; 5. Input the signal to the baseband processing unit and square the signal to obtain the power; 6. Set an average power threshold for the signal that the zero-IF receiver can receive; 7. Calculate the first average power; 8. Determine the magnitude of the first average power and the average power threshold, and proceed to step 9 or 7; 9. Calculate the second average power; 10. Determine the magnitude of the second average power and the average power threshold, and proceed to step 11 or 9; 11. Multiply the two amplitude-corrected analog-to-digital converted signals to obtain the product; 12. Calculate the average value of the multiplicative segments; 13. Based on the average value, decide whether to end the correction process or proceed to step 12.
