Abstract

The embodiment of the invention relates to the technical field of refrigeration equipment, in particular to a refrigerator and a control method thereof. According to the refrigerator in some embodiments of the invention, the freezing drawer is arranged to form the unfreezing cavity so as to accommodate unfrozen articles; and the unfreezing device is arranged to unfreeze the unfrozen objects, and the unfreezing cavity is cleaned. Wherein the unfreezing device is provided with a water storage box and an atomizer, a water inlet mechanism is arranged for feeding water into a water storage cavity, and the atomizer is used for atomizing water in the water storage box. Water is fed into the thawing cavity by controlling the water feeding mechanism, so that the thawing cavity is flushed; liquid in the unfreezing cavity is drained through the drainage mechanism, automatic cleaning of the unfreezing cavity is achieved, the drawer does not need to be detached for cleaning, cleaning is timely, and sanitation of the unfreezing drawer is guaranteed.
