Abstract

A method of converting a fabric-based feedstock to a product is disclosed, the method comprising the steps of: providing a fabric-based feedstock, the fabric-based feedstock having a moisture regain wherein the fabric-based feedstock has a moisture higher than the moisture regain; adding an aqueous portion to the fabric-based raw material to obtain a raw material mixture; and subjecting the feedstock mixture to hydrothermal liquefaction. A system for converting a fabric-based feedstock to a product is also disclosed.
