Abstract

This invention provides a message packet peak smoothing method, apparatus, and readable storage medium. The method includes: acquiring message packets exceeding a capacity threshold; determining whether the message packets exceeding the capacity threshold are silent or active message packets; if the message packets exceeding the capacity threshold are silent message packets, increasing the reporting time quota of the silent message packets by a preset time slice unit, and evenly distributing the silent message packets to various effective time discrete points; if the message packets exceeding the capacity threshold are active message packets, evenly distributing the active message packets to various effective time discrete points or available traffic quota points according to the available traffic quota and effective time of the active message packets. This method, apparatus, and readable storage medium can solve the problems of high hardware investment and maintenance costs, large resource waste during off-peak periods, and low input-output ratio in existing methods of message packet peak smoothing using hardware expansion.
