A flexible powder-free aerogel material, its preparation method and application

Abstract

This invention provides a flexible powder-free aerogel material, its preparation method, and its applications. The method includes: grinding aerogel into aerogel powder particles, then mixing the aerogel powder particles with fibers to obtain a mixture; preparing an impregnation solution: mixing an organic resin adhesive, a diluent, and a curing agent to obtain an impregnation solution; mixing and impregnating: stirring the mixture and the impregnation solution evenly to obtain a dispersed mixture; and curing and molding: placing the dispersed mixture into a mold for curing and molding to obtain the flexible aerogel material. This invention also provides the aerogel material prepared by the method and its application in the preparation of heat-resistant or heat-insulating materials. The flexible powder-free aerogel material of this invention is suitable for manufacturing various curved and irregularly shaped heat-insulating structures, exhibiting good surface smoothness and high thickness accuracy. The method of this invention is simple, low-cost, and suitable for large-scale production.
