[0004] In the case of Patent Document 1, the outer protrusion and the inner protrusion are arranged back to back at the appropriate part of the peripheral wall of the front retaining body. When the female housing and the male housing are in a fitted state, a compressive force acts radially inward on the appropriate part of the peripheral wall by the contact between the outer protrusion and the cover part, and a compressive force acts radially outward on the appropriate part of the peripheral wall by the contact between the inner protrusion and the tower part. In this way, if an excessive compressive force is applied to the appropriate part of the peripheral wall from both radial sides, the part connected to the appropriate part of the peripheral wall may bend to absorb the compressive force. Like the front retaining body, the front stopper having the function of locking the terminal parts also has a peripheral wall sandwiched between the female housing and the male housing, and sometimes a protrusion for eliminating shaking is provided on the peripheral wall. In this way, the peripheral wall of the front stopper may also be deformed by the excessive compressive force.

[0005] Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a connector capable of ensuring the rigidity of assembly components such as a front retaining body and a front stopper. Solutions to Solve Problems

[0006] The connector of the present invention comprises a first housing and a second housing which can be fitted with each other, and a mounting member mounted on the first housing. The first housing has a housing body that accommodates terminal parts therein. The assembly member includes a peripheral wall portion surrounding the outer peripheral surface of the housing body. The second housing has a cover portion that accommodates the housing body and the assembly member therein. The peripheral wall portion has a plurality of protrusions on the outer peripheral surface that are in contact with the inner peripheral surface of the cover portion. The protrusions are arranged in pairs on the outer peripheral surface of the peripheral wall at positions facing each other across the inner space of the peripheral wall. The peripheral wall portion includes a bridge portion extending in the internal space so as to connect between the paired protrusions. Effects of the Invention

[0007] According to the present invention, the rigidity of the assembly member can be ensured. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0009] [Description of Embodiments of the Invention] First, embodiments of the present invention will be described by way of examples. The connector of the present invention, (1) A first shell and a second shell that can be interlocked and an assembly component mounted on the first shell. The first shell has a shell body that accommodates terminal parts inside, and the assembly component has a peripheral wall portion that surrounds the outer peripheral surface of the shell body. The second shell has a cover portion that accommodates the shell body and the assembly component inside. The peripheral wall portion has a plurality of protrusions on the outer peripheral surface that contact the inner peripheral surface of the cover portion. The protrusions are arranged in pairs on the outer peripheral surface of the peripheral wall portion at positions opposite to each other in the internal space across the peripheral wall portion. The peripheral wall portion has a mounting portion that extends in the internal space in a manner connected between the paired protrusions. According to this structure, since the mounting portion is arranged between the paired protrusions, it is possible to avoid compressive force from acting on the peripheral wall portion from the shell body side as the side where the mounting portion is arranged. In addition, the peripheral wall portion can maintain its own rigidity through the mounting portion between the paired protrusions. As a result, the deflection of the peripheral wall portion can be suppressed.

[0010] (2) In the connector of the present invention, preferably, a plurality of pairs of protrusions are provided on the peripheral wall, and the bridge portion is provided corresponding to all the pairs of protrusions. According to this structure, the peripheral wall can be more reliably prevented from bending.

[0011] (3) The connector of the present invention is preferably configured such that, when the mating direction of the first housing relative to the second housing is the front-to-back direction, each protrusion is disposed within the length range of the mounting portion in the front-to-back direction. According to this structure, the mounting portion can reliably withstand the compressive force acting on the peripheral wall portion from the cover portion via each protrusion.

[0012] (4) The connector of the present invention is preferably such that, when the mating side of the first housing relative to the second housing is the front side, the assembly member has a front wall portion covering the front end of the housing body, and the mounting portion extends along the rear surface of the front wall portion and is connected to the rear surface of the front wall portion. According to this structure, since the mounting portion is connected to the front wall portion, the strength of the mounting portion can be improved.

[0013] (5) In the connector of the present invention, it is preferred that the peripheral wall portion has upper and lower walls and left and right walls respectively in the upper and lower left and right directions when viewed from the mating side of the first housing relative to the second housing. The mounting portion has a first mounting portion mounted between the left and right walls in the left-right direction and a second mounting portion mounted between the upper and lower walls in the up-down direction. According to this structure, the first mounting portion and the second mounting portion can withstand the compressive force acting on the peripheral wall portion from the cover portion via each protrusion in the left-right direction and the up-down direction, and can more reliably suppress the deflection of the peripheral wall portion.

[0014] (6) In the connector of the present invention, it is preferred that the first mounting portion has a disengagement prevention portion for preventing the terminal parts from being disengaged from the housing body. According to this structure, since the first mounting portion has both the function of reinforcing the assembly component and the function of preventing the terminal parts from being disengaged, the structure of the assembly component can be prevented from becoming complicated compared to the case where the two functions are provided separately.

[0015] (7) In the connector of the present invention, preferably, the housing body has cavity towers adjacent to each other in the left-right direction, and the second mounting portion is disposed between the adjacent cavity towers. According to this structure, the second mounting portion is disposed between the adjacent cavity towers with good space efficiency.

[0016] (8) In the connector of the present invention, it is preferred that, when the direction in which the protrusion contacts the inner circumferential surface of the cover portion is defined as the first direction and the direction intersecting the first direction is defined as the second direction, the first shell has an inner contact portion that contacts the mounting portion from the second direction. According to this structure, the shaking between the second shell and the assembly component is limited by the protrusion, and the shaking between the first shell and the assembly component is limited by the inner contact portion. As a result, the shaking between the first shell and the second shell is limited by the assembly component. In addition, the first direction in which the protrusion contacts the inner circumferential surface of the cover portion and the second direction in which the inner contact portion contacts the mounting portion intersect. Therefore, no excessive compressive force is applied to the peripheral wall portion from both sides in the thickness direction of the peripheral wall portion (the first direction and the opposite direction), and the deflection of the peripheral wall portion can be suppressed.

[0017] (9) In the connector of the present invention, it is preferred that the mounting portion is formed in a plate shape, the plate thickness of the plate is oriented in a direction intersecting with the mounting direction connecting the opposing protrusions, and the inner contact portion contacts the mounting portion in a manner of sandwiching the mounting portion from both sides in the plate thickness direction of the mounting portion. According to this structure, the shaking between the first housing and the assembly member can be more reliably suppressed without performing special processing on the mounting portion.

[0018] (10) In the connector of the present invention, the inner contact portion is preferably arranged adjacent to the inner peripheral surface of the peripheral wall portion. According to this structure, since the position where the inner contact portion contacts the mounting portion can be arranged at the outer edge of the first housing, it is easy to suppress the shaking of the assembly member relative to the first housing.

[0019] (11) In the connector of the present invention, preferably, the first housing has a housing recess, the housing recess receives the mounting portion between opposing surfaces, and the inner contact portion protrudes from the opposing surfaces in a direction narrowing the opening width of the housing recess. According to this structure, by adjusting the protrusion amount of the inner contact portion, a structure for eliminating play between the first housing and the assembly member can be formed without increasing assembly resistance.

[0020] (12) In the connector of the present invention, when the mating side of the first housing with respect to the second housing is the front side, the assembly member is a front stopper having a front wall portion covering the front end of the housing body. According to this structure, the front stopper can be formed to be difficult to bend.

The second housing recess 11S receives the second mounting portion 13G between the opposing surfaces 11R facing each other (see Fig.11 ).

[0025] like Figure 3 As shown, in the housing body 11A, on the left side of the second accommodating recess 11S ( Figure 3 The three first chamber towers 11H are arranged on the right side (L side) of the second storage recess 11S. Figure 3 The first cavity tower 11H and the second cavity tower 11J are adjacent to each other in the left-right direction. The second inner contact portions 11N as inner contact portions are provided on the opposing surfaces 11R that are opposed to each other and form the second accommodating recess 11S so as to protrude in the direction of narrowing the opening width of the second accommodating recess 11S. The second inner contact portions 11N are arranged on the opposing surfaces 11R at the upper end and the lower end of each opposing surface 11R so as to be opposed in the left-right direction.

[0026] At the front end of the housing body 11A, a first accommodating recess 11P is formed below the first cavity tower 11H and the second cavity tower 11J, penetrating from the left end to the right end and recessed toward the rear. The first accommodating recess 11P receives a first mounting portion 13F (see FIG. 1 ) described later between the opposing surfaces 11Q facing each other. Fig.12 ). On the mutually opposing faces 11Q forming the first accommodating recess 11P, first inner contact portions 11M as inner contact portions are provided in a manner protruding in a direction narrowing the opening width of the first accommodating recess 11P. The first inner contact portions 11M are arranged on each opposing face 11Q in a manner opposing each other in the up-down direction at the left and right ends of each opposing face 11Q.

[0027] When viewed from the front (the mating side of the first shell 11 relative to the second shell 12), the surrounding wall portion 11B is formed in a square tube shape having an upper wall, a lower wall, a left wall and a right wall on the top, bottom, left and right sides. A locking arm 11K is provided at the central portion in the left-right direction of the upper wall of the surrounding wall portion 11B. A connecting portion 11G extending inward is provided at the rear end portion of the surrounding wall portion 11B. The connecting portion 11G is connected to the outer peripheral surface of the shell body 11A. A mating space 11D is formed between the surrounding wall portion 11B and the shell body 11A, and the second shell 12 described later can be mated in the mating space 11D. An annular sealing ring 16 (refer to Fig.10 ).

[0028] The female terminal parts 30 are inserted into each cavity 11C from the rear. The female terminal parts 30 are made of conductive metal. Figure 1 As shown, the female terminal part 30 is connected to the terminal part of the electric wire 31, and a square cylindrical box part 30A is provided at the front. A tab 32A (see FIG. 1 ) of a male terminal part 32 described later is inserted into the box part 30A. Fig.10 The female terminal part 30 is locked to the rear end of the box part 30A by the lance 11E, thereby preventing it from falling out in the cavity 11C (see Fig.10). A rubber plug 33 is fitted on the electric wire 31. The rubber plug 33 is held in the cylindrical portion 30B of the female terminal fitting 30 and is in close contact with the inner surface of the rear portion of the cavity 11C, thereby sealing the cavity 11C liquid-tightly (see Fig.10 ).

[0029] [Structure of the second housing] The second housing 12 is made of synthetic resin. The second housing 12 is configured as a male housing to which the male terminal parts 32 can be mounted. Figure 4 As shown, the second housing 12 has: a terminal holding portion 12A, which is plate-shaped and has the plate thickness direction oriented in the front-to-back direction; and a cover portion 12B, which extends backward in a square tube shape from the outer peripheral edge of the terminal holding portion 12A. A plurality of protrusions 32A of the male terminal parts 32 that penetrate the terminal holding portion 12A in the front-to-back direction are protrudingly arranged in the cover portion 12B. A locking portion 12C is provided in a protruding upward direction in the central portion in the left-right direction of the upper wall of the cover portion 12B. A plurality of contact portions 12D that protrude inward are provided on the inner peripheral surface of the cover portion 12B. These contact portions 12D are each arranged one on the inner surface of the upper wall, lower wall, left wall, and right wall that constitute the cover portion 12B.

[0030] [Structure of the front stopper] The front stopper 13 is made of synthetic resin. The front stopper 13 is assembled to the housing body 11A from the front (see Fig.10 The front stopper 13 is mounted on the housing body 11A to prevent the female terminal fittings 30 from coming off.

[0031] like Figure 5 , 6 As shown, the front stopper 13 includes a front wall portion 13A and a peripheral wall portion 13B, and the peripheral wall portion 13B protrudes backward in a cylindrical shape from the outer peripheral edge of the front wall portion 13A. When the front stopper 13 is mounted on the housing body 11A, the front wall portion 13A is arranged so as to cover the lower portion of the front end of the housing body 11A (see Fig.10 ), the peripheral wall portion 13B is arranged so as to cover the outer periphery of the front end portion of the housing body 11A (see Fig.12 ).

[0032] The front wall 13A has a plurality of windows 13C formed therethrough corresponding to the cavities 11C. The front end of the housing body 11A is inserted into the window 13C, so that the front end of the housing body 11A and the front surface of the front wall 13A are flush with each other (see FIG. Fig.10 ).

[0033] like Figure 7 , 8As shown in Figures 9 and 10, the front stopper 13 has a mounting portion 13M. The mounting portion 13M has a first mounting portion 13F extending in the left-right direction and a second mounting portion 13G extending in the up-down direction. The first mounting portion 13F is in the shape of a flat plate, and is arranged with the plate thickness direction facing the up-down direction. The first mounting portion 13F extends along the rear surface of the front wall portion 13A and is connected thereto. The left end and the right end of the first mounting portion 13F are respectively connected to the left wall and the right wall (left and right walls) of the peripheral wall portion 13B.

[0034] like Figure 7 As shown in FIG. 1 , a plurality of anti-detachment portions 13H are provided on the first mounting portion 13F. These anti-detachment portions 13H are arranged in the left-right direction and extend rearward from the rear end edge of the first mounting portion 13F. When the front stopper 13 is properly assembled in the housing body 11A, the anti-detachment portions 13H are arranged along the lower surface of the front end portion of the lance 11E (see FIG. 1 ). Fig.10 ). Thus, the anti-detachment portion 13H restricts the lance 11E from bending downward, thereby preventing the female terminal fitting 30 disposed in the cavity 11C from detaching from the housing body 11A. The anti-detachment portion 13H is provided corresponding to each lance 11E individually.

[0035] like Figure 7 , 8 As shown in FIGS. 9 and 10 , the second mounting portion 13G is in the shape of a flat plate, with the plate thickness direction facing the left-right direction, and is arranged at the left-right center of the front wall portion 13A. The second mounting portion 13G extends along the rear surface of the front wall portion 13A and is connected thereto. The upper end and the lower end of the second mounting portion 13G are respectively connected to the upper wall and the lower wall (upper and lower walls) of the peripheral wall portion 13B. Fig. 9 As shown, two partition walls 13J are arranged on the left and right of the second mounting portion 13G. The partition walls 13J are flat and arranged so as to partition adjacent window holes 13C with the plate thickness direction oriented in the left-right direction. These partition walls 13J are formed so as to connect the upper wall of the peripheral wall portion 13B and the first mounting portion 13F. The rear end of the upper portion of the partition wall 13J is located forward of the rear end of the upper portion of the second mounting portion 13G (see FIG. Fig.11 ). In other words, the dimension of the upper portion of the partition wall 13J in the front-rear direction is shorter than the dimension of the upper portion of the second mounting portion 13G in the front-rear direction. The upper end portion of the second mounting portion 13G is formed as a narrow width portion 13N that is smaller than the width dimension of the lower portion (see Fig. 9 The dimension of the second bridge portion 13G in the left-right direction is the same as that of the partition wall 13J except for the narrow width portion 13N.

[0036] like Figure 7 , 8 As shown in FIG. 9, a plurality of protrusions 13K protruding outward are provided on the outer peripheral surface of the peripheral wall portion 13B. These protrusions 13K are formed to extend in the front-rear direction. Figure 7 , 8As shown, the front-rear center portion 13L of each protrusion 13K is formed parallel to the front-rear direction on the outer peripheral surface of the peripheral wall portion 13B. The front end and the rear end of each protrusion 13K are inclined toward the outer peripheral surface of the peripheral wall portion 13B.

[0037] like Fig. 9 As shown, the protrusions 13K provided on the upper wall and the lower wall of the peripheral wall portion 13B are arranged in pairs at positions opposite to each other across the internal space S of the peripheral wall portion 13B. The second mounting portion 13G vertically penetrates the internal space S of the peripheral wall portion 13B in the up-down direction in a manner connecting the protrusions 13K provided on the upper wall and the lower wall of the peripheral wall portion 13B in pairs. The second mounting portion 13G orients the plate thickness in a direction (left-right direction) intersecting the mounting direction (up-down direction) connecting the protrusions 13K (opposing protrusions 13K) provided on the upper wall and the lower wall of the peripheral wall portion 13B. The upper and lower protrusions 13K are connected in a solid shape in the up-down direction through the upper wall and the lower wall of the peripheral wall portion 13B and the second mounting portion 13G.

[0038] The protrusions 13K provided on the left and right walls of the peripheral wall portion 13B are arranged in pairs at positions opposite to each other across the internal space S of the peripheral wall portion 13B. The first mounting portion 13F crosses the internal space S of the peripheral wall portion 13B in the left-right direction by connecting the protrusions 13K provided on the left and right walls of the peripheral wall portion 13B in pairs. The first mounting portion 13F orients the plate thickness in a direction (up-down direction) intersecting the mounting direction (left-right direction) connecting the protrusions 13K (opposing protrusions 13K) provided on the left and right walls of the peripheral wall portion 13B. The left and right protrusions 13K are connected in a solid shape in the left-right direction through the left and right walls of the peripheral wall portion 13B and the first mounting portion 13F.

[0039] The peripheral wall portion 13B is provided with two groups of protrusions 13K arranged in pairs, and the mounting portion 13M is provided corresponding to all groups of the paired protrusions 13K. In the front-to-back direction, the front-to-back center portion 13L of the protrusion 13K is arranged within the length range of the first mounting portion 13F and the second mounting portion 13G in the front-to-back direction (see Figure 7 , 8 ).

[0040] [Assembly method of each component in the connector] like Fig.10 As shown in the figure, when the female terminal fitting 30 is inserted into the cavity 11C from the rear and the front stopper 13 is mounted on the housing body 11A from the front, the front end of the lance 11E faces the rear end of the box portion 30A of the female terminal fitting 30 from the rear. In addition, the anti-detachment portion 13H of the front stopper 13 is arranged along the lower surface of the front end of the lance 11E. Thus, the anti-detachment portion 13H restricts the lance 11E from bending downward, and keeps the female terminal fitting 30 arranged in the cavity 11C in the anti-detachment state.

[0041] like Fig.11 As shown, when the front stopper 13 is mounted on the housing body 11A, the partition wall 13J is inserted from the front into each recess 11F of the housing body 11A. In addition, the second mounting portion 13G is inserted from the front into the second storage recess 11S. In other words, the second mounting portion 13G is arranged between the adjacent first cavity tower 11H and the second cavity tower 11J.

[0042] When the second housing 12 is assembled to the first housing 11 equipped with the female terminal fittings 30 and the front stopper 13, the cover 12B is inserted into the fitting space 11D of the first housing 11 from the front of the first housing 11. The locking portion 12C is locked to the locking arm 11K of the first housing 11 (see Fig.10 At the same time, the protruding piece 32A of the male terminal fitting 32 is inserted into the box portion 30A from the front of the female terminal fitting 30. The housing body 11A and the front stopper 13 are accommodated in the cover portion 12B of the second housing 12.

[0043] like Fig.12 As shown, the front-rear center portion 13L of the protrusion 13K of the front stopper 13 contacts the contact portion 12D provided on the inner peripheral surface of the cover portion 12B. In the first housing 11, the first inner contact portion 11M and the second inner contact portion 11N are arranged adjacent to the inner peripheral surface of the peripheral wall portion 13B of the front stopper 13. The first inner contact portion 11M contacts the first mounting portion 13F at both ends in the left-right direction of the first mounting portion 13F in a manner that sandwiches the first mounting portion 13F in the plate thickness direction (up-down direction). The second inner contact portion 11N contacts the second mounting portion 13G at both ends in the upper-lower direction of the peripheral wall portion 13B of the front stopper 13 in a manner that sandwiches the second mounting portion 13G in the plate thickness direction (left-right direction). The second inner contact portion 11N on the upper side contacts the narrow width portion 13N of the second mounting portion 13G in a manner that sandwiches the narrow width portion 13N in the plate thickness direction (left-right direction).

[0044] When the direction (up and down direction) in which the protrusions 13K arranged on the upper wall and the lower wall of the peripheral wall portion 13B of the front stopper 13 contact the contact portion 12D of the inner peripheral surface of the cover portion 12B is taken as the first direction, and the left and right direction intersecting the up and down direction is taken as the second direction, the second inner contact portion 11N contacts the second mounting portion 13G from the second direction.

[0045] When the direction (left-right direction) in which the protrusions 13K arranged on the left and right walls of the peripheral wall portion 13B of the front stopper 13 contact the contact portion 12D of the inner peripheral surface of the cover portion 12B is taken as the first direction, and the up-down direction intersecting the left-right direction is taken as the second direction, the first inner contact portion 11M contacts the first mounting portion 13F from the second direction.

[0046] Next, the operation of the first embodiment will be described. The connector 10 of the present invention includes a first housing 11 and a second housing 12 that can be fitted with each other, and a front stopper 13 mounted on the first housing 11. The first housing 11 includes a housing body 11A that accommodates a female terminal part 30 therein, and the front stopper 13 includes a peripheral wall portion 13B that surrounds the outer peripheral surface of the housing body 11A. The second housing 12 includes a cover portion 12B that accommodates the housing body 11A and the front stopper 13 therein. The peripheral wall portion 13B includes a plurality of protrusions 13K on the outer peripheral surface that are in contact with the inner peripheral surface of the cover portion 12B. The protrusions 13K are arranged in pairs on the outer peripheral surface of the peripheral wall portion 13B at positions that are opposite to each other in the internal space S across the peripheral wall portion 13B. The peripheral wall portion 13B includes a bridge portion 13M that extends in the internal space S in a manner that connects between the paired protrusions 13K. According to this structure, since the bridge portion 13M is arranged between the paired protrusions 13K, it is possible to prevent the compressive force from acting on the peripheral wall portion 13B from the housing body 11A side, which is the side where the bridge portion 13M is arranged. In addition, the peripheral wall portion 13B can maintain its own rigidity by the bridge portion 13M between the paired protrusions 13K. As a result, it is possible to suppress the peripheral wall portion 13B from bending.

[0047] In the connector 10 of the present invention, two sets of paired protrusions 13K are provided on the peripheral wall portion 13B, and the bridge portions 13M are provided corresponding to all sets of paired protrusions 13K. According to this structure, the peripheral wall portion 13B can be more reliably prevented from being bent.

[0048] In the connector 10 of the present invention, when the mating direction of the first housing 11 relative to the second housing 12 is the front-to-back direction, each protrusion 13K is arranged within the length range of the mounting portion 13M in the front-to-back direction. According to this structure, the mounting portion 13M can reliably withstand the compressive force acting on the peripheral wall portion 13B from the cover portion 12B via each protrusion 13K.

[0049] In the connector 10 of the present invention, when the mating side of the first housing 11 with respect to the second housing 12 is the front side, the front stopper 13 has a front wall portion 13A covering the lower portion of the front end of the housing body 11A. The mounting portion 13M extends along the rear surface of the front wall portion 13A and is connected to the rear surface of the front wall portion 13A. According to this structure, since the mounting portion 13M is connected to the front wall portion 13A, the strength of the mounting portion 13M can be improved.

[0050] In the connector 10 of the present invention, the peripheral wall portion 13B has upper and lower walls and left and right walls respectively in the upper and lower left and right directions when viewed from the mating side of the first housing 11 relative to the second housing 12. The mounting portion 13M has a first mounting portion 13F mounted between the left and right walls in the left-right direction and a second mounting portion 13G mounted between the upper and lower walls in the up-down direction. According to this structure, the first mounting portion 13F and the second mounting portion 13G can withstand the compressive force acting on the peripheral wall portion 13B from the cover portion 12B via each protrusion 13K in the left-right direction and the up-down direction, and can more reliably suppress the bending of the peripheral wall portion 13B.

[0051] In the connector 10 of the present invention, the first mounting portion 13F has a retaining portion 13H for preventing the female terminal part 30 from being removed from the housing body 11A. According to this structure, since the first mounting portion 13F has both the function of reinforcing the front stopper 13 and the function of preventing the female terminal part 30 from being removed, the structure of the front stopper 13 can be prevented from becoming complicated compared to the case where the two functions are provided separately.

[0052] In the connector 10 of the present invention, the housing body 11A has a first cavity tower 11H and a second cavity tower 11J adjacent to each other in the left-right direction, and the second mounting portion 13G is disposed between the adjacent first cavity tower 11H and the second cavity tower 11J. According to this structure, the second mounting portion 13G is disposed between the adjacent first cavity tower 11H and the second cavity tower 11J with good space efficiency.

[0053] In the connector 10 of the present invention, when the direction in which the protrusion 13K contacts the inner peripheral surface of the cover portion 12B is defined as the first direction and the direction intersecting the first direction is defined as the second direction, the first housing 11 includes the first inner contact portion 11M and the second inner contact portion 11N that contact the mounting portion 13M from the second direction. According to this structure, the play between the second housing 12 and the front stopper 13 is restricted by the protrusion 13K, and the play between the first housing 11 and the front stopper 13 is restricted by the first inner contact portion 11M and the second inner contact portion 11N. As a result, the play between the first housing 11 and the second housing 12 is restricted by the front stopper 13. In addition, the first direction in which the protrusion 13K contacts the inner peripheral surface of the cover portion 12B intersects with the second direction in which the first inner contact portion 11M and the second inner contact portion 11N contact the mounting portion 13M. Therefore, an excessive compressive force is not applied to the peripheral wall portion 13B from both sides in the thickness direction of the peripheral wall portion 13B (the first direction and the opposite direction), and deflection of the peripheral wall portion 13B can be suppressed.

[0054] In the connector 10 of the present invention, the mounting portion 13M is formed into a plate shape with the plate thickness oriented in a direction intersecting the mounting direction connecting between the opposing protrusions 13K, and the first inner contact portion 11M and the second inner contact portion 11N contact the mounting portion 13M in a manner of sandwiching the mounting portion 13M from both sides in the plate thickness direction of the mounting portion 13M. According to this structure, the play between the first housing 11 and the front stopper 13 can be more reliably suppressed without performing special processing on the mounting portion 13M.

[0055] In the connector 10 of the present invention, the first inner contact portion 11M and the second inner contact portion 11N are arranged adjacent to the inner peripheral surface of the peripheral wall portion 13B. According to this structure, since the position where the first inner contact portion 11M and the second inner contact portion 11N contact the mounting portion 13M can be arranged at the outer edge of the first housing 11, it is easy to suppress the front stopper 13 from shaking relative to the first housing 11.

[0056] In the connector 10 of the present invention, the first housing 11 has a first accommodating recess 11P and a second accommodating recess 11S, and the first accommodating recess 11P and the second accommodating recess 11S receive the bridge portion 13M between the opposing surfaces 11R and the opposing surfaces 11Q that face each other. The first inner contact portion 11M protrudes from the opposing surface 11Q in a direction that narrows the opening width of the first accommodating recess 11P. The second inner contact portion 11N protrudes from the opposing surface 11R in a direction that narrows the opening width of the second accommodating recess 11S. According to this structure, by adjusting the protruding amounts of the first inner contact portion 11M and the second inner contact portion 11N, a structure that eliminates play between the first housing 11 and the front stopper 13 can be formed without increasing assembly resistance.

[0057] In the connector 10 of the present invention, when the mating side of the first housing 11 with respect to the second housing 12 is the front side, the assembly member is the front stopper 13 having the front wall portion 13A covering the front end of the housing body 11A. According to this structure, the front stopper 13 can be formed to be difficult to bend.

[0058] [Other embodiments of the present invention] The present invention is not limited to the first embodiment described in the above description and drawings. The present invention includes all modifications within the meaning and protection scope equivalent to the claims, and is intended to include the following embodiments.

[0059] The number of cavities is not limited to that disclosed in Embodiment 1. For example, Fig.13 As shown, in the first housing 111, only one cavity 111C may be formed in the housing body 111A. In this case, the first accommodating recess 111P is formed from the left end to the right end of the housing body 111A. In addition, the second accommodating recess 111S is formed below the cavity 111C. Fig.14 As shown in the figure, the first mounting portion 113F of the front stopper 113 as an assembly member crosses the internal space S2 of the peripheral wall portion 113B in the left-right direction in a manner connected between the protrusions 113K provided in pairs on the left and right walls of the peripheral wall portion 113B. The second mounting portion 113G is formed in connection with the lower wall of the peripheral wall portion 113B and the first mounting portion 113F. The second mounting portion 113G is arranged in a manner connected to the protrusion 113K provided on the lower wall of the peripheral wall portion 113B.

[0060] Unlike the first embodiment, a structure in which the male terminal parts are mounted on the first housing may be adopted. Description of Reference Numerals
