Arc extinguishing system and circuit breaker

Abstract

The invention relates to the technical field of low-voltage electric appliances, in particular to an arc extinguishing system and a circuit breaker. The arc extinguishing system comprises a moving contact, a static contact and an arc extinguishing chamber, and the moving contact can rotate around a rotation axis so as to be in contact with or separated from the static contact. A connecting line of contact points of the moving contact and the static contact when the moving contact and the static contact are separated is taken as a reference line, and the arc extinguish chamber is arranged on one side of the reference line far away from the rotation axis; the arc extinguish chamber comprises a magnetic field generation component, and the magnetic field generation component comprises a first part and a second part with opposite magnetic poles. In the cross section of the magnetic field generating member perpendicular to the reference line, the cross section of the second portion surrounds the cross section of the first portion, and one end of the cross section of the second portion away from the reference line is provided with an opening. The arc extinguishing system provided by the invention can realize non-polar arc extinguishing, and compared with a traditional scheme, the arc extinguishing system can greatly lengthen the arc and improve the performance of the arc extinguishing system; in addition, the first part and the second part adopt an internal and external nested design scheme, so that the arc extinguishing system is more compact in structure, and the occupied space of the arc extinguishing system is reduced.
