The invention discloses a water quality sampling detection system and method.The water quality sampling detection system comprises a measuring mechanism, a lifting sampling mechanism, a cleaning mechanism, a blowing and sucking pump, a first connecting pipe and a second connecting pipe, the measuring mechanism comprises a water sample box and a detection piece arranged in the water sample box, and the cleaning mechanism and the blowing and sucking pump are communicated with the water sample box; one end of the first connecting pipe and one end of the second connecting pipe are respectively connected with the opening, the other end of the first connecting pipe is connected with a sampling pipe of the lifting sampling mechanism, and the other end of the second connecting pipe is used for discharging a water sample. According to the water quality sampling and detecting system, the sampling, detecting and cleaning processes are integrated, the structure is simple and compact, the operation efficiency is high, sampling, detecting and cleaning are all completed in the water sample box, and the risk that a water sample is polluted by the outside is small; after water at each depth is sampled, the water sample box and the detection piece can be cleaned in time, so that the residual pollution influence of a sample sampled last time is reduced, and the sampling representativeness is good.
