Dedicated cloud area of customer premises

Abstract

Techniques are disclosed for managing aspects of a dedicated area cloud ("DRCC") located at a customer location. The DRCC may include a cloud infrastructure component provided by a cloud provider and hosted by a computing device located at a location of a customer ("cloud owner"). The services of the central cloud computing environment may similarly be executed at the DRCC. The DRCC may include services configured to collect, store, and / or present data corresponding to cloud infrastructure components via one or more interfaces (e.g., an interface provided to a cloud provider and / or a cloud owner). Data (e.g., capacity and usage data, etc.) collected within the DRCC may be provided to and accessed by the central cloud at any suitable time. Obtaining such data enables a user to determine various operational aspects of the DRCC, while enabling the system and / or user to perform various DRCC-specific operations related to capacity planning, health and performance, change management, and the like.
