Abstract

The invention discloses a quantum rod light-emitting diode and a preparation method and application thereof, and the quantum rod light-emitting diode comprises a liquid crystal light valve, and a hole injection layer, a hole transmission layer, a patterned light-emitting layer, an electron transmission layer and a cathode which are sequentially deposited on a transparent conductive substrate, the high-precision bank is internally provided with three layers of quantum rod films, the three layers of quantum rod films are red, green and blue quantum rod films, the three layers of quantum rod films are directionally arranged, and the long axis directions of the three layers of quantum rod films form an included angle of 120 degrees. The directionally-arranged quantum rod film is formed in a self-assembly mode and is prepared by a transfer printing method. According to the invention, high-resolution linear polarization three primary colors can be provided for full-color display, and a backlight source and a color filter are not needed, so that the thickness is reduced, and the display color gamut and the brightness are improved.
