Method and system for providing basis for body composition assessment invariant in body weight change

Abstract

The present invention relates to a system and method for providing a basis for the evaluation of body composition invariant in weight change in a subject individual. A first value and a second value of a body parameter of an individual subject are acquired at a first time point and a second time point, respectively. First and second values of a subject characteristic parameter including a body weight of a subject individual are acquired at a first point in time and a second point in time. Two groups of individuals are selected from a database based on a comparison to the subject characteristic parameters. A mean or median value is determined. A basis for the evaluation is provided by a first body parameter change determined based on a combination of the mean value or median value and the first and second values of the body parameter of the subject individual.
