Abstract
The application discloses an anti-freezing hydrogel and a preparation method thereof. Lithium chloride and a polymer monomer are dissolved in deionized water, a crosslinking agent, glycerol and an initiator are added, and the anti-freezing hydrogel is prepared through a free radical polymerization reaction under high-temperature conditions. The anti-freezing hydrogel contains hydrophilic sulfonic acid group anions and quaternary ammonium salt cations on molecular chains, can inhibit the formation of hydrogen bonds between water molecules in the hydrogel through electrostatic induction of water, thereby converting the freezable weakly bound water into non-freezing strongly bound water, and can improve the water absorption performance of the hydrogel. On the other hand, the inorganic salt is directly added to produce ion hydration effect to tightly bind water molecules in the hydrogel, and the glycerol is used in cooperation with the water molecules to produce strong hydrogen bonds, so that the freezing point of the anti-freezing hydrogel is lower than-70 DEG C, and the freezing point is still lower than-8 DEG C after water absorption. The preparation process of the anti-freezing hydrogel is simple, the reaction condition is mild, and large-scale production and preparation can be easily realized.
