The invention provides a tool state monitoring method and device and electronic equipment, and relates to the technical field of numerical control machine tools, and the method comprises the steps that a machine tool controller determines a monitoring threshold value range according to load characteristic data in a load data segment, the load data segments are multiple pieces of load data which are obtained from a load data sequence of the target cutter and meet a preset condition, the preset condition is a preset condition corresponding to the target cutter type, and the load data sequence and the target data sequence correspond to the same collection time; the target data sequence comprises at least one of a main shaft rotating speed data sequence and a main shaft rotating speed modal data sequence; and the machine tool controller monitors the state of the target cutter according to the load data of the target cutter and the monitoring threshold range. According to the embodiment of the invention, the machine tool controller obtains the load characteristic data meeting the preset condition according to the type of the target cutter, and sets the monitoring threshold range based on the load characteristic data, so that manual operation can be reduced, and the operation process is simplified.
