A method for growing cherry tomatoes

Abstract

The cherry tomato planting method of the present application comprises the step of double-pole training, thereby obtaining two main branches, and is characterized in that: it further comprises the step of repeatedly pinching and defoliating the main branches when the second inflorescence is obviously visible, specifically, when two inflorescences grow on the main branch and the length of the latter inflorescence is more than 3 cm or there are 3 flower buds, the normal growth of the new shoots on the latter inflorescence is pinched as terminal buds, while the axillary buds of the adjacent leaves below the latter inflorescence are retained as extension branches of the main branch, and the remaining axillary buds are all removed. The pinching operation every two inflorescences in the step of repeated pinching and defoliating makes the length of the fruit cluster and the fruit setting rate of the main branch from the first inflorescence to the last inflorescence both show an increasing trend, effectively improving the fruit setting rate and yield of the cherry tomato plant; the processing every two inflorescences ensures the maximum stretching, flowering and fruit setting ability of the inflorescence, and also well coordinates the moderate growth potential of the plant.
