Sealing assembly for capping head of capping machine and capping machine

Abstract

The invention relates to a closure assembly (1) for applying crown caps, in which the closure assembly is small in space occupancy and easy to replace quickly and is suitable for being mounted on a rotary translation capping head (210) provided on a capping machine (300) capable of handling applications involving the rotary translation of the capping head (210) and applications involving only the translation of the capping head (210). The capping machine (300) has a gear system in which the drive sprocket (350) can be rotationally adjusted in order to eliminate a rotational motion component of the capping head (210) about its axis and to retain only a translational motion component, thereby ensuring correct operation of the closure assembly (1). According to a preferred embodiment, due to the use of two or more ejection springs (11a, 11b) which are concentric and parallel to each other, the space occupancy of the closure assembly (1) is also very small.
