Abstract

This invention provides an optical parametric chirped pulse amplifier for ultrafast vector light, comprising a narrowband laser, a femtosecond laser, a pulsed laser stretcher, a laser mode converter, a nonlinear crystal, a phase delay compensation plate, and a pulsed laser compressor. The narrowband laser and femtosecond laser generate pump light and signal light, respectively. The signal light is time-domain stretched by the pulsed laser stretcher and then passes through the laser mode converter to obtain a vector signal light with a specific spatial polarization distribution. The pump light and the vector signal light enter the nonlinear crystal together, where the pump light amplifies the vector signal light using vector polarization parametric chirped pulses. The phase delay compensation plate is placed in the optical path of the vector signal light to cancel the phase delay accumulated by the mutually orthogonal o-polarization and e-polarization components of the vector signal light during the vector polarization parametric chirped pulse amplification process. The amplified vector signal light passes through the pulsed laser compressor to obtain a high peak power femtosecond vector laser pulse. This invention has significant application value for obtaining ultra-high peak power vector light with a desired spatial polarization distribution.
