Abstract

The invention relates to a cache management method and device, computer equipment, a storage medium and a program product. The method comprises the following steps: monitoring available allowance of each cache region in a cache, and when it is monitored that a target cache region of which the available allowance is lower than a lowest water level threshold exists in the cache, expanding the target cache region to obtain an expanded cache region. According to the method, a new effective management method for the cache is realized, compared with an existing method for realizing capacity expansion by directly monitoring the use condition of the cache, the cache is divided into a plurality of cache regions, the granularity of the cache is refined, and the capacity expansion of the cache is realized by monitoring the available allowance of each cache region in the cache. According to the method and the device, the cache region needing to be expanded is expanded, so that accurate expansion of the cache region needing to be expanded is finely realized, and the accuracy of cache management can be improved to a certain extent.
