Method and device for acquiring log through serial port after Linux kernel crash

Abstract

The invention provides a method and a device for acquiring a log through a serial port after a Linux kernel crashes. The method comprises the following steps: registering a Linux kernel dump component kmsgdumper; a hook function is registered in a dump method of the kmsgdump, and the log is set to be stored in a memory by taking a row as a unit; the hook function searches for the movable serial port in a polling mode and outputs the log stored in the memory through the movable serial port. The method does not depend on a storage medium, has few intermediate links, does not need to be deployed in advance, and can stably and reliably solve the problem of log acquisition after kernel crash.
