Abstract

A front sub-assembly (103) for a drug delivery device (100) and a method of assembling the front sub-assembly and the drug delivery device wherein the front sub-assembly comprises: a cap (200) having a cap distal opening and a cap proximal opening; and a device body (700) having a device body distal opening wherein the cap is held in a first cap position relative to the device body wherein the front subassembly is configured to enable the cap to move from the first cap position to a second cap position, and wherein the front subassembly is configured to enable the cap to move from the first cap position to the second cap position. The cap distal opening is further away from the device body distal opening along the longitudinal axis of the anterior subassembly in the first cap position than in the second cap position.
