Isolation fastener assembly

Abstract

A fastener assembly is disclosed that couples a first component to a second component via a post associated with the second component. The fastener assembly includes a fastener portion and a spacer portion. The fastener portion has a body having a neck ring at a first end and a base at a second end. The base is coupled with the first component, and the body defines one or more channels. A spacer portion is formed on the neck ring, and at least a portion of the spacer portion extends into the one or more channels. The fastener assembly defines a passage therethrough to receive and engage the post, for example via one or more retainers. One or more retainers may be resiliently connected to the inner sidewall of the passageway.
