Method for manufacturing ball joint

Abstract

Provided is a method for manufacturing a ball joint, which is capable of reducing man-hour and cost, improving drop-off strength and reducing torque at the same time. A housing (2) for holding a bearing block (10) for rotatably holding a ball part (16) is configured by forming a pressed part (11) by pressing and deforming a part of an intermediate body (20) in which the bearing block (10) and the ball part (16) are housed, and a laser (23) is irradiated to the outside of the housing (2) to heat-treat a region including at least a part of the pressed part (11).
