Preparation method and application of ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) grafted latex

Abstract

The invention discloses a preparation method and application of ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) grafted latex. The method comprises the following steps: mixing styrene-butadiene latex, a comonomer, an initiator and an auxiliary agent in a reactor for reaction, and polymerizing to obtain the ABS grafted latex; the polymerization process comprises a bottoming stage and a batch feeding stage; wherein the styrene-butadiene latex is added into the reactor in the bottoming stage; the initiator, the assistant and the comonomer are added into the reactor for several times only in the batch feeding stage, and the feeding amount of each batch is greater than or equal to the feeding amount of the previous batch. The ABS grafted latex is prepared through a multi-batch intermittent feeding technology, the grafting rate and molecular weight distribution of comonomers can be controlled, a proper amount of free SAN can be generated, and ABS resin prepared from the grafted latex has high impact strength and good melt index and is suitable for application occasions with high performance requirements.
